It'd take 3 years to bury a mother in law.
I can't wait that long.
getting my brains blown out now or 7 years of that.
hmmmm...........tough choice
do they have long winters in Saskatchewan?
well, a little creepy, but them are some looooong winters.
that is ootrageous
I wonder about maintenance costs, on the reality side a person must REALLY be into it...Wish I had that much time to piss off...
First thoughts are that it is really sad. But upon further thinking, people spend much more time aimlessly channel surfing, or aimlessly internet surfing. So, if it gives the guy pleasure and piece of mind, why not? Just hope he isn't building the basement for nefarious purposes. (Think Silence of the Lambs.)
I read through the thread they mention on Autoblog. I thought it was kinda neat at first, but it quickly became depressing. The guy casually mentions that his wife basically walked out on him in his second year of digging :-X
Going by the reactions in the R/C forum, sounds like it's pretty common...
But then I figured out why. I looked up the price of one of those excavators on a website they talk about (Gardentrucking.com), because...well hell...I wanted one [laugh]
Those damn things are $6k, and that doesn't include the radio :o
