yeah...I had the same reaction.
Methinks homeboy needs to go by Abdul.
I saw that this morning. Had to do a double take to see if it was some sort of joke.

Why?

I wasn't aware the UAE even had a superbike championship. Learn something new every day, eh?
Interesting that he's signing with an existing team. With bin Laden money he could of just run his own totally un-sponsored team if he'd wanted.
It's the Saudi Falcom team. Most likely they are already a sponsor.

Makes sense.
Man, why couldn't he ride a Yamaha instead. That would be sucky to have to carry around a name with so much stigma. It's the same with all the people out there who's last name is Hitler.

how many people are there on the earth with the surname of hitler? not many since it was a mangled one- or two-generation spelling of the more common "hiedler"...
bin laden isn't a very common surname, but the rest of the family isn't so bad... why let the black sheep ruin it for everybody?

This.
It's probably not too bad "back home," but I'm sure it's not great times going places where the only reason anybody knows who you are is because of "crazy uncle Osama."
I'm happy to let the guy race, and wish him all the best.
I agree. Knock himself out! [thumbsup] [Dolph]
Hell... I'm the black sheep in my family. And yes, Baaaaah still means NO! [laugh]

he isn't...
but it's at least 50/50...
and there very few people in the world as make the beast with two backsed as Osama...
which ups the odds.
I'm bettin' on derby.
this does not give anyone the right to discuss politics, or the Saudi family...or any US intervention.
It's just my impression of derby's interpretation. ;D

has anyone here even seen a race from this series? How competitive is it? Is it just rich playboys riding around on their pretty little bikes?

'Racing for Me' has one extremely short race torrent (probably a highlights clip show) from three years ago. ScrapeTorrent has make the beast with two backsall. I'll give the download a try, but it's stale and has zero seeders.
There's some UAE Superbikes news here: http://circuitprodigital.com/category/gcc-championships/uae-superbikes/ (http://circuitprodigital.com/category/gcc-championships/uae-superbikes/)
Didn't see any times or leader-boards, but I just did a quick glance.
