1100 EVO - "Potential Number of Units Affected: 892"
??? Does this affect only the USA? Is my UK supplied Evo at risk? Better call my dealer!

Probably not. For giggles just checked my 796 with the same rim size and it's a DOT marked rim. Doesn't say "DU6-RR" anywhere on mine? Does it on yours?

I looked too. I was not able to find any DU6-RR marking anywhere, in my 2012 1100 EVO ...
I just checked my Evo and didn't see that code anywhere on the wheel. I had to wait for the 2nd shipment to get my black one though.
8) I'll check tomorrow. It's saturday night, and I'm on my 4th beer!
wonder if those are the Enkei rims or Marchesini

The code is inside the wheel center - port side - wheel off to see it.
[thumbsdown] In that case, I'll wait for Ducati to contact me (or not).

Believe it's the Enkeis. Ducati has problems with Monster fuel lines also.

Wow. The fun just don't stop for Ducati recalls, does it?
Zero NHTSA recalls on the S2R and related fuel tanks, and TWO within the same model year in the Monster line alone. Maybe they're learning that informing the owners is a good thing after all. [roll]
Not to fret, I'm sure Ducati will have a kit for that.
Just got a notice in the mail today. They are recalling all 2011 and 2012 Monster 1100 evo rear rims. States they are prone to to cracks developing on the rear spokes. Contact the dealer you purchased from to have the rear wheel rim replaced with a new rim built to higher specifications.
NHTSA Campaign ID Number: 12V-073
Dealer Bulletin: RCL-12-002
Stay safe,
Chris
I guess I was affected by the recall. I got my letter today. :-\
Now I gotta figure out how to get it to the dealer that's 2 hours away.
I am waiting for this too, before bringing in mine for the cracked fuel lines ...

I'd book it in, but not take it down there until you were told that they had the pieces in stock!

Just ride it there. If Ducati didn't think puffy, leaking fuel tanks were a concern, what's the big deal with cracked rims or cracked brake lines???
Got my notice yesterday.
Looks like I'm going to have a busy 600-mile service. I'll be driving away with a "higher specification" rear wheel rim, a fuel line that won't leak, and a new 14T sproket.
Got mine too ... time to head to the dealer with both of them ...
What's this about the fuel line? I never received that letter.
Fuel lines tend to crack and potentially spill fuel over the engine.
I just called my dealer, and he told me he has the wheel, but he has no "stickers".
He told the the red lines and branding on the wheel are just decal/stickers. Is that true, or BS?

Called my dealer and same thing, said he had the wheels but not the stickers...he asked me if I just wanted them without them...I said NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why would I want them without the stickers????
They are gonna call me when they get the stickers in....
just dropped the monster off for a oil change and to see if I'll be getting a new rear rim. Has anyone heard rims coming apart while riding?

really??? bwahahahahahhaha
I am getting them w/out, so that I get my fuels lines and wheel fixed, and avoid hazard.
They will call me once they arrive from Italy, and they can put them in in five minutes.
Had mine done yesterday. Both rims and fuel lines.
I was lucky they just got the stickers yesterday, so I got them applied too.
Hopefully no more recalls from now on ;D
:) Called in at my dealer today with my VIN No. Mine is affected, and a wheel has been ordered. Is it exactly like the old rim in appearance? And there was no mention of fuel lines. I'd better get back to them on that one. It's like having my 1200 Griso back!!! Viva Italia!
