I never thought I would have to seriously consider whether I should wear my perforated leather jacket or regular jacket when I was going for a ride in NY in March but I did today. I went with the regular jacket but could have gotten away with either. Rode a little over 100 miles around the Finger Lakes area. What a March day today is!!

Pssst ... don't say it loud otherwise the global warming folks will start pushing for more lethanol in our gas ;D
[clap]
It's pretty awesome...
don't get used to it though... ;)
Here in Wisconsin we've hit the low 80's for the past couple of days and have been above 70 for the past 2 weeks. I can only hope that winter doesn't decide to return.
I wish some of that warmth would work it's way over here...
Here in SoCal it's been in the 50's overnight, and 70's during the day. Last weekend it rain so bad Saturday I considered building a large wooden boat. Sunday was down in the 50's all day and very windy.
I'm wearing my winter jacket with a neck warmer, glove liners and I'm still freezing my ass off when I get to work.
Here in Montreal Canada it's 26 degres Celsius ( so it's 80 degres!!) :o !!!!!!!!!! in march !! (usually its around 4 degres at this time of year) I confirm ! no more snow in Montreal !!! :o
Same great stuff in Southern Ontario. I have to go buy some padded bicycle shorts cos I've ridden so much my undercarriage is sore. Damn this sunshine.
Have to report the weathers quite nice over here in jolly olde England, some area's already have a hose pipe ban, like DP says "it can't last"... [bang]
Geoff... [coffee]
most of the areas surrounding portland have over an inch of snow. here in downtown we didnt get that much, but it was enough to stick.
yeah that storm in Portland stretched up to Idaho and we got 6 inches yesterday and another 2 overnight.
this morning the highways were all sheets of ice due to last night about 6pm it warmed up and melted a bit
and then refroze overnight. I've had enough of this shit. was going to get the bike out this weekend. not any more.

Glorious sunshine all day today from 7am onwards - only used the heated grips on the Tuono because I had them.
hey, we are from the same neck of the woods! today rochester was in even nicer - around 80 degrees, so perforated leather was the choice for me... i'm still afraid the usual cold spring will come back, the last couple weeks were amazing.

That sounds wonderful. I'm looking at moving to Montreal actually but I've always been apprehensive of how cold it can get up north. I don't think it snowed at all in NYC this winter. Maybe some flurries but that's it.

If you think this will be the norm in Montreal think again.
It's cold there in the winter,
This shit is an anomaly.
Oh I know. As much as I love the warm weather, I wonder how our summer is going to be affected because of this warm winter. As for Montreal being cold, I wouldn't mind living there but I would be a little sad not riding year round.
Problem is that it is mid March, bugs are already coming out and the trees are starting to bud. If we get a good cold spell, some of the bugs will die off. If not, by the time we get to August we wont be able to leave the house without getting swarmed. We've had upper 50's in the morning, and I'm acually too scared to ride. This time of year the deer are in rut and are hopping all over the place at 5:00am. Normally I dont ride consistantly until mid to late April. However, it sure does make for a nice ride in the afternoon.
