Title: New Ducati Monster owner, saying Hello.
Post by: Pkim on April 06, 2012, 08:29:47 AM
Just picked up my first Ducati yesterday.  I've been looking at the monsters for sometime.  Finally decided on the S2R800.  I looked at the 696, really liked them and since it was my first ducati, I thought I should maybe get something new, but I really loved the look of the single side arm.  the 796 was out of my price range and since I've only ridden for couple of months I thought maybe get something used and eventually work up from there.  Got this bike locally, it has been well taken care of and has all the history from day one.  Rode it for the first time yesterday and the bike is awesome!! ;D
I'm hoping to learn from everyone here since I am a DIY kinda guy.

- short version is you need to host it someplace and reference it. The board doesn't have the ability to save images.

History is good - one thing that should be listed is when the belts were replaced. The cam belts are a 12k mile or 2 year of service item. So if the belts are older than two years you'll want to look at a new set sooner, rather than later. For the DIY type it's a pretty easy job as long as you know the procedure.
