I can't believe he was well into his 90s! Didn't like some of his stories but for the most part I respected him as a talking head. I am sure he was an inspiration to a lot of reporters that we see every day on TV. I'd be proud to hang my hat on that. RIP indeed. [thumbsup] [bow_down]

I liked Mike alot. I liked the way he reported.

Dan Rather is still with us on HDNET though. And to me his style is very similar.

Damn.

So many icons in so many fields going away. And I don't see suitable, true replacements anywhere for the most part.
