My damn wheels finally showed up! [clap]
Here they are for your drooling pleasure: :o

I will post up more when they are on the bike. Waiting on new shoes to arrive for them. [thumbsup]
And quite a bit later, I will do a ride impression write up (can't ride the damn thing cuz I'm at the 7500 service interval and the dealer is booked a FULL MONTH out!! [puke])
They tell me (of course) that Ducati frowns upon exceeding the interval... :P
I've heard good things about those.
Enjoy! should be fun. Probably going to have a hard time keeping the front wheel on the ground. Turn in should be notably improved.
I AM SO FREAKIN' JELOUSE!!!!!!!
I so want BSTs for my bike!!! I am forced to get a new set of rims for my monster, due to swingarm conversion and front-end swap. Unfortantly I can't afford BSTs right now :'(
I really don't want throw down a 1-2k for a set of rims that I really don't like, only wishing I had BSTs. I wish my stock rims would work until I had the dough for BSTs. [bang]
I am drooling at your pics, BTw :-* :-* :-*

I've heard good things about those. Yeah, they come with a 3 year warranty and I've been told they have warranted 5 years out and not even for mfg issues!
Enjoy! should be fun. Probably going to have a hard time keeping the front wheel on the ground. Uh yeah, got that prob now as it is. S4RS with 135 rwhp. [evil] Turn in should be notably improved. So I've heard and if it is anything like when I first got the bike, I'm gonna need to spend some time "re-learning" how to ride it! [moto]

wow, that is sexy!
I finally got my BST's mounted and I must say I'm damn glad that I also mounted a steering stabilizer at the same time. I went to pass a truck on a long stretch today and I jumped from 60 to 100 indicated faster than I could pass the truck which was right in front of me. I only passed him to see if the wheels made any difference. The 14t front sprocket helped I'm sure, but my helmet jumped vertically on my head as I blew by and the sudden rush of air stood me upright in my seat. I'm sure that if the stabilizer hadn't been doing its thing I would have gotten a bit of headshake at the rocketship rate of acceleration I experienced. What a blast- literally!
Be sure to check rear caliper clearance the shop I used to work at had a set that was supposed to fit a s4RS and the rear caliper hit the wheel spokes. [bang]
I had already installed one set on a customers bike and the first set had plenty of clearance.
your going to love them!
like riding a schwin
Wow! Hot, sexy, sweet! [thumbsup]
Sweet sweet wheels........ Need pics of them on the Monster........ :o
Definitly need pics of these bad boys on your bike they are SWEEET!!

Those clearance issues were for the 5 spokers and they made a spacer for them. These are "supposed" to be direct fit, no spacer req'd but I will be checking all clearances carefully. I may have to get a new chain and shorten it for clearance on the swingarm. This is a 6.0 incher! [thumbsup]

MotoWheels.com, they are the sole importer. Most other resellers get em from here. The price usually goes up too. Get ready to hurry up and wait.

I'm workin on that part, waitin on new tires to show up and I gotta do a test fit real quick to see if I gotta replace the chain to gain the clearance needed for the 6.0 incher... I got a SSS ya know and it is gonna be close!
very nice!
lookin' forward to seeing em on da bike!

I have stock rims and wanted to know if it would be a bad idea to just swap out the front rim for the C/F rim. Would that mess up the handling or would it help? I can't afford both front and back. Please let us know how those rims work out for you and post pics! I'm Drooooooooooooooliiing!!!!!

I ran only a BST front only on my M900 and it was still a major improvement. I did it with then intention of getting the rear down the road but it never happened. Going with a rear over a front would be bigger improvement though.
OK, finally!! They are mounted up and the first ride is in the books! Holy crap!! My impression in 5 words or less?
GOD I LOVE CARBON FIBER!! [thumbsup]
Everything you've read about CF wheels is true and then some. I was worrried about an already nimble bike becoming "nervous" or "twitchy". NOT!! Now you have to take into account that I went from a 5.5 rear to a 6.0 and a 180 to a 190 tire. But I gotta tell ya, this combination is just pure sweetness for me. [moto] Everything cool about the bike is made THAT MUCH BETTER! Acceleration (already scary in its current cfg) is downright fiendish, braking is as well, you already know about cornering and even just the suspension feel over any type of road is so much more precise. I did remove one click of compression out of the front to remove harshness over small bumps. The mid & large bumps were cake, go figure.
There are pics after the jump here:

oh my!! :o
sweet! [thumbsup]
I went with a 190 on mine too. Very happy with it and don't notice any loss of drop in.
[thumbsup] AWESOME!

Did you ever run into clearance problems with the 6" width and 520 chain? I'm supposed to be getting my BST's soon.

There is more clearance to the 190 tire (a 180 shouldn't be run on a 6.0 rim even tho it can be listed on some sites) with the 520 than the stock 525. About a 1/16 - 1/8 inch. The problem you will run into is the clearance between the wheel and the swingarm (at the brace transition to the rear hub). I had only 1/8 inch!! And if the chain needed to be adjusted (it did after a few rides) I had no room to do so! So I needed to replace the sprockets in a combination that would move the wheel forward and allow room for future adjustments. I decided to do a 520 quick change conversion in the process.

Maybe I'm not understanding, you said clearance between the wheel and swingarm (where the front part of the wheel meets the swingarm on the left side) after streching a new chain wouldn't you be moving it rearward and not forward? I've never done this before, also I've got the same model (S4Rs testretta) where did you source your 520 quick change conversion from? Appreciate the time and help.

I went from a 14/43 & 104 link chain to a 15/45 & 104 link chain. This shortens the distance and requires the chain eccentric to be adjusted forward to make enough slack to get the chain on the larger sprockets. The clearance issue was at the left side of the wheel where it passes close to the swingarm brace as it transitions downward to the hub eccentric. Capish?
I bought my stuff from Sprocket Center.
EDIT: I originally bought a 46 in the "kit" from Sprocket Center but that wouldn't fly on a 104 link chain, had to source the 45 from Munroe...
Capish, thanks!
