If its already got the glossy clear coat on it can it be easily stripped and painted. I want a Matte Black Seat cowl for my 2005 620 but all I keep seeing is CF. Whats involved in getting one painted to match the stock Ducati Matte Black?

Don't need to strip it, just sand the finish down some.

There's a DIY painting thread in tech where I cover painting c/f.
Keep in mind it covers it using professional materials and equipment.
If you're going to use rattle cans there's a thread that covers that method in How to.
Basically you never want to use chemical stripper on c/f. It will damage the resin.
Sand and paint is the way to go.
