I'm planning out a road trip on my trusty M750 for the end of June.
My intention is to go up the coast on the 101.
Hopefully to Seattle....
Looking for local knowledge of road conditions; pavement quality, traffic, weather patterns, etc.
Hoping for good road, clear sky and no motorhomes. [laugh]
Also looking for economical lodging recommendations near the CA/OR border, and the OR/WA border.
What's the scoop? [beer]
should be a great ride! if you have time on the way home, make sure and check out Crater Lake NP. it's worth the trip.
I'll track it down, put it on the return leg. :)
Drop bnbmike (http://bnbmike@yahoo.com) a line, he lives in Pacific City and knows the roads on the central coast. [Dolph]
Thanks!
Should I tell him Krolik sent me?
Sure, and ask about his Multistrada as well. [thumbsup]
Info sent.
Let me know dates and I'll try to ride with you for a bit. Maybe show you some secret roads.
If Crescent City works out to be a good overnight stay it is near the border of CA/OR, I would suggest Curly Redwood Lodge on the south side of Crescent City. It's kinda cool funky and has some good history, given it was built entirely from one redwood tree back in the day.
Also, pretty sure motorhomes will be in abundance... wish you luck though! [drool] It's a nice ride.
bnbmike, received the info, thanks.
When I've got a firm(er) time frame, I'll let you know.
coduc, thanks, I'll check that out!
Im in Seattle an have some fun twisties for you if you like.
Hey Nick I'd ride up with you if the Monster gets operational, and you'd have a place to crash for the night(s) if ya need!
I live 20mi north~
