hi, i want clip ons on my bike, and ive watch several models, but i cant decide.
ive saw SpeedyMoto Adjustable Clip-ons with Riser, Apex Adjustable Riser Clip-ons, Apex 50mm Adjustable Clip-ons and so.....
have you guys recommend any one in this list?
also what else i need?
thanks in advance
It depends on why you want them:
The continuum goes from adjustability/comfort to looks/cool factor.
Comfort/adjustability = Convertibars and new brake and clutch lines : Looks = whatever you thing is cool
You can get much of either without going to clip-ons also. There's more to it, but "want" sounds like you are going for something along that continuum.
Some might claim the cyclecat ones add 10 hp and raise your rev limiter to 14000 rpm [evil]
maybe help narrow this down...
which model 05 do you have?
how aggressive (low) do you want them to be?
how tall are you?

i would obviously want a more agressive look on the ducati. its a 2005 620 dark.
my height is 1.78 mts or 5' 10''.
ive saw other guys bikes with clip ons and they look like a sporty bike, and mine, well i dont like the stock bar,
I have heard that apex ones are the most comfortable. Personally i think they are all similar in some way...the only different (beside bling, price, name brand) is the riser you get (e.g. 1", 2", 3" or in between). Therefore, lower = more agressive = less comfortable, vice versa.
cycle cat clip-ons come with a cloaking device so police can't see you [drink]
no seriously, they are probably the best bet for a first set since you can adjust them on the fly and figure out which position suits you best. at least that was my logic.
Consider that if you just go lower, to maintain the same turning radius lock to lock the bars need to be 'less swept back'.
Or, offset to the front. I mention it because the Monster turning radius (slow maneuvers obviously) isn't that tight to start.
I added clip-ons to my 620 clear my S2R1K forks (possibly was not required) and the look is nice and I hoped to get more
sweep back but I'd have to sacrifice turning radius. So end result the clip-ons are very near to stock bar angle.
fwiw I got some Speedy-Moto's from a member here with 3" risers mounted below the triple to maintain stock height.
Getting riser mounted below the triple affords you some flexibity imo.
ok, but wich one would you consider best for price?
i mean i dont want to be in a horrible position that my beer belly hits the fuel tank.
also i dont want to spend 500 dlls just on those.
do i need another mods to clip ons? or just bought any of those, what about reservoirs for clutch and brake fluids?
to guess at position: http://cycle-ergo.com/ (http://cycle-ergo.com/)
I am running the Apex clip ons with 4'' risers mounted below the top triple.
I like the look and they just a little more aggressive than stock....but they can be lowered in about 1 minute much lower.
