one of my mate's at Pro Twin in Perth working on 1 of 3 supermono's in Australia...
Apparently it will be coming to a track near me! [evil]

Mmmmmm nice
wouldn't be the 1st one we've seen...but that is an interesting casing structure for sure...I guess the hump is for a helluva counterbalancer in the lack of top cylinder...

I am curious. Why the forward cylinder? Low center of gravity? Is there some feature of the L-twin geometry that favors that cylinder? Any information would be appreciated.
CG id guess.
Awesome btw.

Maybe cooling as well...the vertical cylinders tend to run hotter. Maybe doesn't matter since it's water cooled though.
It seems like using the vertical cylinder would provide more flexibility for chassis layout though...allowing for a longer swingarm without the front wheel touching the motor. Of course, that idea seems to be relatively new, so maybe not considered at the time the Supermono was designed.
Good point if its air cooled

This is what I was thinking would be the benefit of running only the vertical. Must be a trade off, an engineering compromise.
