Hello all,
My name is Dave and I live in maryland. Just finished restoring a 2000 M750 that my friend let sit outside for two years without riding it. I owned a 1996 Ninja ZX-7R before the duke. I have always wanted a Ducati, now I am finally part of the club.
Welcome Dave [thumbsup].
Good to hear you saved that bike.
Welcome and congrats, you'll have a blast with your bike! Check out the local Capital Area Monsters (http://www.ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?board=20) section of the forum and/or the Balmer (inbreds [cheeky] [laugh] ) group on Facebook.
Yep - Pepe is one of the DC area hooligans. And me too I guess. Quite a number of folks - so pop in and say hey!
Welcome, how was the restoration?

The bike before the restore, it looks ok on the surface. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/spcialist40k/7497154098/#) by Spcialist40k (http://www.flickr.com/people/spcialist40k/), on Flickr

Once I started tearing into the bike to work on it, this came out of the fuel tank. About 2 gallons of water, fortunately it didn't get in the engine, it stopped at the carberator. Had to rebuild the entire fuel system and a whole lot of other things. (http://www.flickr.com/photos/spcialist40k/7497158928/) by Spcialist40k (http://www.flickr.com/people/spcialist40k/), on Flickr

It was a huge undertaking but I think she turned out pretty good.
nice looking, is that the original paint?
that yuck that came out of the tank wow, thats just sad glad you were able to save her.
It is the original paint...I ordered the front fairing straight from ducati and then had a friend match the paint for the belly fairing but the tank and seat cover fairing are all original ducati colors.
paint looks very nice then - though that baby poo that came out of the tank... oh dear
