Imagine that you are a Ducati Engineer and are assigned to clean up those minor faults and further perfect for "commercial sale" the model that you personally own. Listed below are some things that I'd change:
2007 S2R-1000
1. Reinforce the engine mounts on the engine. With as many potholes Tulsa has ...I'm afraid its just a matter of time before my engine breaks off.
2. Reinforce the kickstand mount on the engine.
3. Cookies ..cookies ..cookies ...my bike keeps loosing its cookies. There's got to be a better solution.
4. Engine needs to be coated with something other than that clear coat which is starting to look like crap.
5. A "real" fuel gauge would be nice ... its fun to guesstimate but sometime you need to know.
What would you change? [popcorn]
If I were able to add 1000$ to the base cost...
1 - gear driven cams
2 - tanks that don't leak at the hinge (the plastic tanks probably already fixed this)
3 - better seat with nice under seat tool storage and a nice tool kit
4 - spools as factory equipment for dual swingarm bikes
5 - gauges that don't fade and are waterproof
6 - tank prop integrated into the tank, maybe like a piston on a tailgate
I don't really think there are too many major things I would change, mostly just little stuff.

the fuel injection
Seriously. I'd take 5 more lbs weight to have much better driveability.
give me a system with the ability for a flashloader, or at the very least a EEPROM.
throw on some knock sensors, a second or better placed 02 sensor, and a air metering system (seriously wouldn't be difficult)
I bet more HP, torque, cooler temps and better mileage.
S4Rs
1. Put the 999s injectors in there, somehow
1.1 hell while you are at it....why not the 999r's top end [evil]
2. fuel gauge
3. real case saver
4. slightly taller bars with a little more rake in em
5. a better solution for the tail...seriously making it so ugly people cut it off sucks. You guys are italians....make it make the beast with two backsing beautiful

You are onto something. My BMW R1200GS makes 105HP, 85Lb. Ft. torque and gets about 50MPG all while weighing 150Lbs. more than my Monster. Investment in F.I. pays many dividends.
The stock ECU should be fully adjustable/customizable.
Wires and cables could be hidden a lot better.
As an option, sell the bike without exhaust, since most people get rid of the stock right away.
Cut three inches off the forks so the bike is sloping forward.
Then when you ride it, it's always going downhill even when you are riding up a hill.
It would save you lots in fuel economy.
;D
07 S2R 800
- Some decent Suspension, Adjustable front forks, and spring the thing for somebody of normal body weight, not for a Midget with Bulimia
- Dispose of the Udder, It's as ugly as a Hat full of Aresholes
- Goldline front brakes, The OEM black are OK, but for Wank Factor, gotta have the Big guns!
- Single Can Termi system, Want to see more of the Wheel/SSS, maybe develop a way to mount it under the seat
- DP ECU
- Bigger Fuel tank
Maybe you should think about the restrictions m/c manufacturers have from Euro3, EPA, CARB and DOT even !! Some of the requests would seem to either put a price tag on a particular model that no one would want to pay and second they would never be able to be licensed in most countries.

Oh god, where to begin.
1. Heat treat the damn rockers properly
2. I'd mention the electrics, but thats a given and they've sorted most of those issues in the last decade
3. Heat treat the damn rockers properly
4. Position the steering damper so it doesn't rub the paint off the front of the gas tank
5. Allow more adjustability in the headlamp aim; even at max height it's too low
6. Adopt MBP style locking collets - quit milking us for valve adjustments
7. Use bronze beryllium valve guides and size them properly
8. Heat treat the da... you get the idea

1. Most importantly, don`t change a thing, otherwise I would not have anything to do over weekends [thumbsup]

Make the paint more durable, it is soft and scratches easy.
Make the beer tray bolt on/off (there already doing it with the 696 i supose)
Somewhat unrealistic
Instead of the udder which picks up and frys on every thing imaginable to the surface making it impossible to clean I would like to see something underneath. (still would collect and fry junk but it would look better imo)
