Stock kick stand on an S2R....when I ride over bumps the thing jiggles/comes down from the bike and slams back up.
The bolts/nuts are tight, but it's still all over the place. I haven't taken it off the check bushings (assuming there are some), but if they're fine what's next??
I never understood why cyclecat made a kick stand...until now [laugh]
Are the springs good too?
I would double check that spring it should a double spring one inside the other and make sure it has plenty of tention.
^^X2 on the spring. inspect it pretty close to see if there is some debris causing it to bind or that one of the ends has not popped out of place. Then i would spray the sh•t out of it with wd40
The cycle cat stands were offered at different lengths, and well look better.
But +whatever to checking the spring.
Yep, that would be a problem. I have ONE spring on mine. Spring has decent tension...I hadn't look really close so didn't notice another location for a spring.
It is possible that it's a spring inside a spring, and if that's the case IDK if mine's got both springs.
Thanks for the posts...I'll take a look this weekend. [thumbsup]
Well,
Checked the stand for two springs....and they're both there. One inside another as I thought.
It's got some "side to side" wobble if you move the end of the kick stand left/right like the pivot has a worn bushing or something. That's my next point when I've got time.
Or I'm looking for heavier springs/aftermarket.
