Title: Howdy from Cheese Country
Post by: JaeDuc on July 28, 2012, 09:49:15 AM
Hi all,

Name: Jae
Location: Wisconsin (originally from Texas)
Looking to buy this guy: http://madison.craigslist.org/mcd/3094619260.html (http://madison.craigslist.org/mcd/3094619260.html)

First bike was a Shadow 600 which I had for 2 years. Looking to make the jump to something a little more exciting. Not a Ducati owner yet, but hoping to remedy that soon. Any advice on a first Ducati purchase would be appreciated. Prices in Wisconsin seem to be inflated though... [thumbsdown]

Cheers!  [beer]

Howdy back!

Well, how much more exciting? Depending on you budget and what you like theres a monster or other duc to suit just about anything. Lots of choices
- Old or new body style?
- Air cooled or water?
- 600, 620, 695, 750, 800, 900, 1000 ccs?

And it's summer price inflation probably. If you're not in a rush, wait until November/ December. Bikes are generally a seasonal commodity and prices will be lowest in the off season.
