I did buy the Balaclava and mid layer pants last year i found them very good. [thumbsup]
The padock stand is a bit light weight but ok. [thumbsup]
Transport stand and tie downs look good.
Last year I bought the Merino Midlayer Top. It was warm and comfortable but a size to small for me so I gave it away and I'll be up early to get a large one this year.
I hope I actually get something. It's all usually sold out by the time I get there.
I've got my eye on the merino top and perhaps the waterproof pants.
I might grab another polypropelene top, plus a few pairs of socks, plus a packet of rechargable batteries, plus, plus, plus!
You know how it goes with ALDI! LOL!

and thats the clue
if you want something then make sure you are there when they open or you will likely miss out
I might also be visiting my local. If someone misses out on a item let me know and I will see what I can do up here
ima get me the balaclava, thanks for the heads-up!!!

Am interested in that front wheel chock for transport, all stores have them......?
I heard if you get there on the day before the sale just about 30 minutes before they close, they have the sale stock on the counter ready for the next day , and you can buy it there and then the day before so no line up

It's true, just happened to be at Aldi picking up some dishwashing powder & ice cream for the soccer team that's staying over tonight &
there it was all on display with a bunch of nut cases all ready waiting,

I went by my local store tonight, 8:40, but no stock was in place yet, just the empty floor space where it'll be tomorrow.
I guess other stores may have been better organised, but this nutcase didn't get any early shopping joy tonight! LOL!

Turned up at 8:15. There were already 6 others waiting, all wanting the bike gear.
Doors opened on the knocker at 8:30. Got 3 pairs of socks, two merino tops and a pair of gloves.
The winter pants looked great quality, but the large weren't large enough. The extra large were too big. Always the way.
Anyway a good morning worth of shopping.
Cheers ALDI!

Forgot about the sale, and didn't remember until around midday... Local store still had a decent selection of clothes, and more importantly still had tHe paddock stand I was after. Not bad for $50... [thumbsup]
I was in my local Aldi yesterday post lunchtime, and quite a lot of the stuff had gone, noticeably the stands (front and rear), helmets and bluetooth units. Also the leather jackets had disappeared.
Gotta be quick by the looks of it...
I'm after one of their non-descript bike covers if anyone comes across one, please grab it for me and I'll fix you up for it.
The Waterloo Aldi had sold out of most stuff post midday yesterday
Still had a head of bike ramps, balaclavas and a couple of textile jackets though.

Went to get just a helmet ( noice), walked out with a paddock stand, disc lock and a leather jacket.
Won't be wearing the jacket fer riding tho as discovered many years ago when leather gets wet it's wet for weeks and I have a MotoDry fabric jacket.
Took out the Quasimodo back brace thing and the jacket will be a fashion item. Lovely to finally have BIG shoulders, without wasting time and energy pumping weights in the gym :-)
The paddock stand is great for the rear but felt awful dodgy lifting the front - I'll stick to my tried and true method for taking off the front wheel, a car jack under the front exhaust port and a rope to the rafters for balance.
Was telling a know-it-all friend about the jacket and when he found out it was buffalo hide he said I paid $99 too much - looks and feels great to me, am I missing sumping ?

you can't use a front stand without using the rear stand first to support the bike
or you will be picking up a fallen bike [bang]
so best go and buy another stand [thumbsup]
I put a centrestand on my Monster as soon as I got it.
So why did I buy the paddock stand you may well ask - coz recently when I took off my shock I had to take off the Right rear set, and one of those bolts holds the centrestand, so I used two car scissor jacks under the DSS arm to hold the 'bike up. Paddock stand will be easier, and safer next time around.
And it was $50, and I was in Aldi, and there was Special fever in the air...........
