Title: How not to get help...
Post by: krista on August 07, 2012, 05:57:00 PM
When you buy a not working 2003 Monster at auction and leave us a message for help...
... and I call you back ...
... please don't tell me that because I won't perform paid service that I'll just try to sell you parts. And then hang up when I start explaining that I was going to try and help find a solu....*click rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr*

You called the last guy on this planet who would do that. Good luck getting your bike running... I was going to talk with you and help you find the cheapest way towards a working Monster. Which normally wouldn't include me trying to sell him a battery or scantool. :P

Sorry, just a short rant. I feel bad that I'm able to answer less and less calls as we get more and more busy. We'll have to come up with a DMF secret passcode to get in or something.

Yaay. Beertime. The computer melted my brains out.
Chris

Chris....motorcycles and firearms are two of the most powerful asshole magnets on the planet....

they attract a disproportionate number of head cases....

The APM (assholes per million) count is far outside the standard statistical deviation

Well ... I think since  "boobies" got so much vote in poles on this forum it would be advisable that        " ....DMF Boobies calling...."  would be the wrigth password ....  ;D

enjoy that beer  [beer] [popcorn]

I just had something of a similar vein happen...gas station trying to service a car...asks for technical help that I just can not provide....I try to explain why I can't and she keeps interrupting me to explain how ridiculous she thinks it is and how she knows how it should work from when she worked whereever she did elsewhere....when I interrupt her to try and once again assert my explanation in detail, she then gets pist and threatens to take her business elsewhere ( tossing out a name of a dealership that doesn't exist yet ) and starts to lambaste me about customer service and how I should be treating her by not cutting her off and etiquette and so forth and I just finally had enough and decided to cut the whole thing off by simply hanging up on her!

It happens in every single industry.  I am a member of a financial services industry group - I had someone email me and ask if I had a minute to talk - sure...why not?

I get on the phone with this guy and he starts asking me for legal advice regarding a case in which he is the defendant...um.....1) I'm not a lawyer 2) Seeing as you are the respondent and my org. is on the other side of the table, I really can't be discussing this with you

So he gets mad.

Really dude?  WTF?  If you had told me when you emailed me exactly what you wanted to discuss, I would have advised you then I couldn't supply any information to you...wtf are you mad about? [roll]
