Title: Greetings from New York City - 2011 796 ABS
Post by: imgreekyo on August 09, 2012, 03:22:34 AM
Long time lurker finally getting an account here on the forums, pleased to meet you all.  I own a 2011 Ducati Monster 796 ABS with about 8k miles under the hood, in the Greater New York City Area.  I've been riding now for a little over 2 years, taken the MSF Basic RiderCourse and Experienced RiderCourse, read both Twist Of The Wrist books (Keith Code) and Proficient Motorcycling books (David Hough), and plan on going to the California Superbike School next year.

Here I am with my bike at the top o' the Blue Ridge Parkway last year (I'm on the right):

My (modest) Monster modifications are as follows:

I'll try to keep this info updated as things change.
Looking forward to participating in the forums!

Welcome to the DMF.
Have you lowered your gearing yet?

Nope, not sure if i'm going to.  I commute a lot so I do a fair share of highway riding, and I also do a lot of city riding, so I feel like the stock gearing suits fine
