Hi Guys
Been throwing this up in the air a bit, Im a bit over my dual sided swingarms and am looking for a new ride, even though I have spent so much money on my duke its not funny and am lucky to get 7-8k trade in for her I have seen a 2010 m1100 going cheap for $12990 so thinking now is a good time, well not really as I am just dumping 1k into sie today for new belts, shims and a tune, damn hindsight is a wonderful thing :(
Anyways all the reserch I have done says its not really that much better than what I have? its just 10hp more but less tourque, and its 15kg lighter that is it?
So just asking if anyone thinks its a wise move or just a waste of time and money and I shoud be happy with what I have?
here is a pic of my bike, today it will also have the cans chopped as well when I go to pick it up from PROTwin here in WA,

look forward to any bit of advice you can give?

I would think that the weight loss would far outweigh the reduction in torque, wouldn't it?
I'll buy your 1000 if you trade up.
Good looking bike. [thumbsup]

Depends if you like the look of the newer monsters that much more to justify the costs etc. I do hear the newer models handle better, but I'd imagine it'd go pretty similar to your bike ( guessing as Ive never ridden one).
Perhaps test ride one? That should give you the answer you're looking for...
I may be a little biased, imo the 03 monster was the best of the last classic style monsters. ;)
If you can get some one to stump up $10.5k/$10k, for your one take it. but i think you may be dreaming.
Service or not closer to $9k being top dollar, been watching the prices on them for a while, ;)
Can't tell tell you how they compair to the current monsters, imo Ducati should have called them something else? ???
