Title: New Rider from Dixon, IL
Post by: ChrisK on September 05, 2012, 07:19:03 AM
New to motorcycles but I've been around power sports my entire life. Big into snowmobiling, ridden some dirt bikes, and my passion is my 1985 Supra Sunsport. Just picked up a 98 M900 from a friend of mine, excited to learn a completely new hobby!

Welcome - if you haven't yet track down a local Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Basic Rider Course (BRC). It's a good way to get an into and lear a few things particular to bikes. Also, insurance usually gives a discount of you pass - and (at least in my area) it's easier to get a license if you pass. The DMV accepts the MSF cert for on-bike test so you don't have to find a DMV that does bike tests, find a time and then wait for the DMV staff to be late.

The 'ole 900 is a solid bike. Mines coming up on 34K and still runs like a champ.
