So, i was in Europe a little while back and saw this guy ripping around in probably the slickest helmet i have ever seen. After months of searching i finally found out what it was and all i can say is these things look absolutely amazing.
Anyways I'm looking to pick one up, i'm currently in an arai vector 2 size xl although i could have went L and shaved a few spots in the foam shell. My question is this how do they fit in comparison to most helmets? I seem to not fit icon, shoei and hjc helemts but most of the arai lineup I do. Mind you i am also not one to buy a helmet and live with 2-3 months of pressure points hoping the foam will collapse, i prefer pleasantly snug IMO it doesn't give that much.
Thoughts on the fit? I'm willing to take the chance of getting caught without a
Dot sticker in the helmet, heck i can buy/make one of those and stick it on if i get pulled over.
Thanks
Steve
I'd say they run a bit small. I bought the Boxer V8. I normally wear a small, and it feels a little snugger than the Icon it replaced. Not uncomfortably tight, but close...If I were to do it again, I'd probably buy a medium.

Interesting. I'll have to think about this for a bit. Mind you my riding season is coming to an end here soon, well depending on how the weather holds up for the next few months.
Thanks
I tried on a friends and it fit pretty well. I usually wear an Arai Corsair-V in Medium. I tried the measuring tape and it was pretty accurate at 58cm for the medium fit.
Sorry for replying back so late, I was busy with a few other aspects of my life(gf, diving, travel, and sadly work).
I actually found out that these helmets where i live, as long as they have the e22 cert in the eu, it is golden for where i live (BC, Canada) as they recognize dot, snell and the eu standards. http://www.icbc.com/road-safety/safer-drivers/motorcycles
I am definitely buying one once i get back to a job and new tires after my incident this morning

LOL, I visited there in September! Lots of nice stuff, but the clerk who waited on me was a dick.
Too bad (imo) the coolest models happen to be modular :'(

Everywhere else people were quite nice. I was exiting the subway one morning and I helped an older woman up the stairs with her shopping cart. She was quite pleased and stopped to speak to me for about 5 minutes. In German. I don't speak German. :P ;D
I've wanted one of these ever since I saw them. Just picked one up and hopefully it will arrive by the middle of next week. I picked up the v8 black shadow even though my jacket is white and gray.
I bought a Boxer V a few years ago and I found it to run a bit larger than other helmets. I normally wear a medium and this medium isn't as snug...
