And after I ordered I saw this.

I think you can make out the gist of it. If not it basically says that chemicals that are known to cause cancer and reproductive harm might be found in the food.
But I was like, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!
I asked the waitress what chemicals were in the food and she didn't know.
I ate it but I don't think I'm going to keep eating whatever it is.
The bottom of the sign said IAW cal prop 60 or something.
California?
Everything causes cancer in California. Hell...water has been shown to increase the likelihood of cancer in laboratory rats in California. [laugh]
I hear that the same stuff goes on in Canada now.
Possibly the same thing as KFC:

Did you notice that every paragraph in the article ended with the statement below?
-KFC has agreed to post warnings in its California outlets that its fried potatoes and similar items in other companies’ restaurants contain a known carcinogen called acrylamide, the office of state Attorney General Edmund G. Brown
I stopped counting after 20
Bacon, french fries
and yes the water .....the amount of mercury contamination in the old Gold Rush areas of the Sierras and Tehamas is considerable...
it was used to separate the gold from the ore-crush and hydraulic slurry for several decades...
all those pristine creeks and lakes in the hills and gulches
have a regular old NJ quality about them...don't eat any fish you catch in them hills
I am sure all that above-ground atomic testing in the 1950's was a real boon to our longevity as well
Saw the title, just want to say "I'm sorry".

you win, all I can cause is confusion
It's the usual government stupidity. Some people decided it would be a good idea to have warnings on places that use or store carcinogens. Reasonable if rationally implemented, but ...
The list used and the low threshold they picked mean that basically every building in CA has that warning on it, and thus the purpose of the labeling to warn people of real dangers has been completely rendered useless. Look around. There's a "Prop 65" warning sign on every grocery store, every shop, every vehicel dealer, just about everywhere.
I'm glad I have (finally) escaped that idiot state.

I believe the air in Kalifornia causes cancer, too.
This whole Prop 65 bullshit smells of politics.
