Was watching last year's race. Man, I miss Sic :'(
yeah.
:(
FP1 was damp so it was a bunch of single riders tip toeing around. Only Hayden and Spies made it out there on prototypes.

FP2 was more of the same. None of the top riders made it out. Spies heading out for like 2 seconds. Abraham pretty much led most of the session. What a wasted day.

Go Johnny Rae... [thumbsup]
Boy, has Cal been on a tear since Ducati dissed him!
and Barbera qualifying behind a CRT machine kinda puts his whining about Pramac dropping him in perspective
CRAZY RACE!

yup, but now he knows pretty much how nicky felt at estoril.

i wonder how much of that was already having a setup from the testing they just did at that track or if they've actually found something.

yay, he beat all the crts!!! ;D
but seriously, only ~2s behind nicky for race distance. [thumbsup]

The whole cluster make the beast with two backs at the start was like a Chinese fire drill that got out of control.
The fact that they pulled Dani's bike into the pit to remove a tire warmer that got jammed when the start was screwed up by another rider and Dani is pushed to the back of the grid just seems a bit unfair.
He never would have been in that situation without the weird start.

Too little, too late.
Oh, and so much for all the speculation that Rossi's gonna cruise for the rest of the year :-*
What a cluster make the beast with two backs of a race. Drama from the 2 starts. I won't believe that Ducati has found anything we see results in multiple races. Wouldn't it be interesting that all of a sudden the Duc is at least regularly beating the other satellites?
They said the duc has a new frame and swingarm. For such a big change to work that well from the get-go (Rossi did not appear to be struggling) makes me pretty hopeful.
And Pedro got screwed. He's been the screwer more than a few times, so I don't have much sympathy. But that's racing.
Still, it does make the rest of the season a bit less interesting...
Pedrosa did indeed get screwed, wonder why they pulled the bike into pit lane?
All on the team have to know the impact of that.
Or was it getting passes by the sweep safety car, did that relegate him to the back?
I am disappointed for how it's blown the chase for the championship.
I think they've found a bit with the new parts on the Duc.
But given the lack of practice time on a dry track, I'd say the setup info they got from the test was the bigger share.
We'll see next race.
Sad to see another not-so-great result for Ben, but he *did* finish, that's important.

Great Moto2 race and the last lap was amazing., [clap]
I'll be watching the big boys and Moto2 tonight after the family goes to sleep. Great way to wind down my evening after grilling shrimp and asparagus on the barbie! [drool] [thumbsup]
What a crap start ? Really f'd Dani. Very good race and so happy for Rossi. I was hoping Dovi would pull it off at the end but glad to see Bautista put Sic's bike in podium. Great race.

Tire warmer got jammed in the front fender after the first blown start due to lights malfunction. He was relegated to the back of the grid due to not staying in front of the safety car. Pedro was motioning to pit wall as if there were problems right after he left for the second sighting lap. Looks like he got it sorted out, but not until after the safety car passed him. Then Hector screws the pooch and takes him out. Not fair at all.
In response to who said Pedro is usually the screwer, I disagree. That guy made one mistake in 2006 that got a bunch of American fans in a twist. Other than that, I'd say he's regularly been on the crap end of the stick for most of his GP career. Just glad he didn't get hurt.

yup, though it wasn't just american fans that thought the move was out of line. it's generally poor form to take out your teammate.
much like capirossi getting taken out by gibernau in 2006*, one can easily chalk this up as pedrosa's karmic payback for the estoril incident with hayden.
*capirossi punted harada (his teammate) off track on the final lap of the final round of 1998 to claim the 250gp championship.
Jesus what happened there. Someone took all of Ben's bad luck. Thought for a second Spies was going to take 3rd. Needed a few more laps.

He made the same trophy comment on his motogp.com interview... ;D
not that it really matters but it was his brakes that got bound up, couldn't turn the wheel. then the bike got confused and thought it should keep the pit limiter on.
yet another vote for kicking barbera the f outta this series.

...or at least one of his mechanics knew the correct procedure (start the warm-up lap from pit lane) so they re-engaged the pit limiter.
This makes it sound like him and his mechanis screwed up, and someone needs to read the rule book.
