Hi, folks, like time no see...
Just checking in to say howdy from Oz. We arrived here in Sydney on Aug 6th, and I finally picked up a bike here locally, a 2009 Streetfighter S, pretty loaded out with carbon, termis, and other goodies. Life is pretty grand, and the weather has been unbeatable. Looking forward to getting about on two wheels.
Hope all is well, and I'll post up some pics or you can catch up on Facebook or here: http://glennonsinsydney.blogspot.com (http://glennonsinsydney.blogspot.com) although I've already slacked off keeping it up to date ( hey, slacking, it what's I do... )
Cheers,
Svoloch

Yes, we now include Svoloch amongst the dearly departed...
Allegedly, he is "working".
Personally, I think it's some kind of extreme witness relocation program :o
Yep. Witness Protection Program, no question.
But holy crap, when did this happen?!? I was going to PM you about the Arkansas ride but I guess that's right out...
Oh well - good on 'ya. Have fun, sounds like a good gig [drink]
Sweet ride--congrats!
Moved down beginning of August, took some time to get settled, and started work the third week of August. Things are going well, stellar weather, awesome coffee, pubs everywhere, people are very friendly. Gorgeous rides to be had in all directions except east, where it gets a bit wet until South America, but then the rides pick up again. About the only complaint I have is that it wildly expensive, but people ( including me ) are just paid more.
Come on over, seriously, I have a room for you guys. Let me know when to pick you up from the airport...
Also, I saw on the Ducati.ms forum someone from mid cities was pregnant doging that a red 1098 was making a bad name for red ducs by wheelie-ing everywhere and running from cops. He was quite upset about it, but it just made me happy knowing that RichD is back on the roads...
And the Shit Hot?!? (Not that I'm seriuosly jealous about the Street Fighter. Or living Australia... [drink] )
If plans go as plans go we will see you late next year. BTw, go to Cairns ASAP.
I can believe you picked up a street fighter but now that you km your service intervals will be further apart ;D
The shit hot was sold to Don Tarvin. It shows up at la grange on bike nights still, but with a bit less swagger and a bit more style ;)

Fortunately I am back on the roads,
unfortunately the 1098 I had is no more...
About this time last year it was pronounced D.O.A. in an unfortunate event. :'(

Australia does have a long history as a penal colony... maybe some "special renditions" are in his future...
Dude, what happened to you? Last time I checked you were living on Belmont and were within stumbling distance to the Dubliner! Immigration finally track you down and deport you, wife and kiddos to the old UK prison island? [laugh] Thrown any shrimp on the barbie yet? Say hi to Crocodile Dundee for us. Stay in touch bro'!! Planning a DIMBY Aussie style? Always thought it would be fun to kick a Great White's ass in the Great Barrier Reef. ;D We could celebrate with a cold Aussie Foster's afterwards... that is if I win. yeah, heard about that, hence the reference. as long as one of you is back on the road [thumbsup]
Whether I'm here as part of a witness relocation program, extraordinary rendition, or because someone finally figure out what they had let into the state of Texas, the important thing is that I am here, and that I have a room here ready for visitors.
I know that Alan is already sorting out his passport, what is the excuse for the rest of you lot? What's the pool out there on the first one to visit? I realize L'Smart has his ankle bracelet range to contend with....
My wife just went back to work for felony probation at the Crowley courthouse. I'm lucky if I can ever leave the house again. :P She has new tracking technology on her side.
SBK Patrick, enjoy the change of scenery. You are not missing anything worth talking about in the USA. Someone just seems to keep flushing the toilet over and over again. My take on the Aussies are they are about 110% more friendly, less threatening and seem to know more about enjoying life than 'Mericans will ever know. How nice is that? [thumbsup] [beer]
