Those fairings were originally molded for lights on the sides.
They come filled. Be prepared to do a bit more smooth up.

Well last week I crashed my 2003 1000ss at a track day, so it is going to get a new fairing and some other goodies. I also have a 1994 750ss that is being restored and I am picking up the final pieces tomorrow to get started on a Titanium frame Sport Classic. ;D
Good enough for me ;D
