DMF,
I have 2 bikes at the moment and I plan on adding a Monster 696, along with a Suzuki S50 for the girlfriend. I just want a quick heads up as to how much I'll be paying by seeing how much some of you pay ;D. All in truth, I can't wait until monday to bug my insurance agent so I figured I'll get a heads up from you guys first. I'm with statefarm and I have my home owners and car insurance with them. One through escrow and the car's are 45 beans a month.
EDIT: I'm 25 with a clean record. My insurance agent says I have a high(est) rating in terms of being a safe driver, I'm not sure how their merit system works.
Without knowing ages and driving records it probably won't make a very acurate comparison, but I'm with State Farm too. Their rates on Ducatis are excellent. I have 2 Ducs, 2 cars, and my house through them.
I've got 4 bikes insured through Farmer's (Foremost).
It's pretty reasonable, except for the 1098 :P
The coverage seems thorough- if you get comprehensive it includes roadside assistance , & some $$$ for extras on the bike.
I haven't filed any claims with Farmer's though, so I can't help you there.

fixed for ya! Thanks for the heads up.
[thumbsup]
I have both of my cars, as well as both bikes insured through Geico. I am 37 and up until last Nov I had a clean record, but my wife ruined that by sticking a camera in my face, to show me a picture of a flippin bird that she took, while we were out driving my S2000 one day. Anyway, the bike insurance was pretty cheap for just the Ducati, was paying $75 dollars every three months for full coverage, but the Daytona really brought it up. Now I am paying about $250 every three months for both bikes. :(

State Farm (At least in Colorado, though I don't think it would vary state to state) rates by bike displacement, not by manufacturer or type.
40, clean record, S2R 800, SS1000ds, R1200 GS = $108/mo. Waiting to see what happens with the theft claim on the SS.
Most companies do base rates on displacement. But that displacement rate depends on what class bike it is, with sportbikes being at the top (i.e. most expensive) class. Hence why my rates more than doubled when I got the Daytona.
2 bikes, 2 autos, and homeowners all with statefarm
$265/yr for the monster, but i'm a girl, and over 30 ;)
31 year old male. $275/yr Monster. $339/yr 998. State Farm.
I wonder how much my 22 year old gf will cost to insure a s50 boulevard. I was quoted 40/month for a 696 through state farm. I pay 12 bucks/mo for my dual and 20/mo for my 82 seca 650.
I'm using progressive and insure 3 bikes (944 insured for an extra $7K, 750 and 250 Vespa) and I'm paying about $80 a month.
Married, old fart (40+), good record, no claims.
Paid 550 for the 696 with fire and theft and 500 for just plpd on my VFR
When I added my '79 KZ400 to my insurance, it cost me -$13 because I now qualified for the multi-bike discount. That's right, I got a check after adding a bike. [thumbsup] ;D

DUDE!!
2 S4RSs along with a 1098R??!! What do you do, sling coke to the stars?
What's wrong with having a backup S4RS?
Doesn't everyone do that?
;D
God I wish!! My financial advisor/boss/mrs wouldn't dream of letting me have that many expensive bikes. But, I am just a poor military schlep, and that time will come when I retire. ;D
WTH, i just cancelled the policy on my ole' 250 cause i sold it. And my insurance went up 25 bux.
I have geico, and i was paying 18 bux a year for the 250... That means I was getting a 43 dollar discount for having multiple bikes.
Oops I forgot to call my insurance agent to find out how much it would cost, discounts and etc.
