Title: Hi there !
Post by: blocbul on September 21, 2012, 04:46:31 AM
Hi everybody,

I've recently discovered this forum and found such interesting things that I decided to register and participate.
I'm living in France (Paris)  and I own a 2000' 750 Monster (carb)
The bike has 45K (kms) and it's a second hand I bought two months ago.
It's my first Ducati after many years of motorbike on Yamaha XT (500 & 600) and I must admit that I always had the secret dream of owning a Duc one day :)

So I'm also there as there are very few M750 in France and it's always difficult to find info on it (or just exchange experience) when needed.
I'm not affraid by mechanics and I do nearly everything myself on my bikes (even changing tires).

Here's a picture of the bike, you can see it's (nearly) full stock and it will stay like this:

Not fully stock... someone removed the reflectors from your forks  ;D Also changed the turn signals

Welcome! If you do not have a detailed maintenance history of the bike your should probably replace the cam belts. They are scheduled to be replaced at 2 years of age or 20,000 Kms of use. Whichever comes first. So it's quite possible that they are over age, even if they are not over that distance threshold. Other than that, there's nothing special to worry about, that you probably do not know about already.

So enjoy! Stay safe in that Paris traffic
