They should work - just a little 'maybe' for cutting off the end if they aren't open...

I have Carpal tunnel bought a similar shape for my mountain bike very comfy

I use a "Throttle Blaster" from (ebay $6.95) on long freeway rides.
It goes on & off....don't really like it on tight curvy roads though.....throttle control is affected for me. 8)
