So I'm thinking about getting my bike painted this winter. The yellow is not bad, and definitely stands out from the 11tyb black bikes out there, but in the process of making it 'mine' I think I need to recolor her. Trying not to spend a fortune but I don't want to cut corners to the point of having to pay again to get it done right. Anyway, would like some input on the two options below: first is bike as-is (for reference); second and third are some photoshop mock-ups I did. Oh, and excuse the Barbara Walters filter effect---I wanted to get bike to stand out from bg due to the black scooter parked next to me.
Current condition:

Blue/white (showing my italian roots):

Blue/red:

Can I get some votes/input on the blue/white vs blue/red options? Also, if anyone has recommendations for a good painter in the NYC area, please share.
My girlfriend said blue/white [popcorn]
I'd stay with the yellow, but if you decide to change it please don't go with that all blue/red frame idea. ;) :D
Blue white +1
middle one, red frame, replace blue on bodywork with red, silver wheels.
I like this one a lot...

[thumbsup]
But the blue one is [puke] [puke] [puke].
I like the blue and white one better than the blue and red one.
the blue with red frame looks great IMO [thumbsup]
Thanks, DMFers. Clearly the preference is for the blue/white. Curious why the blue/red was so repulsive---maybe the obnoxiously oversized ducati logo?

Now to find a painter...
..... I hear there's one in NH.
wheres the poll?
Honeslty i say go black on your wheels, black your belt covers and call it good!
How are you planning on changing the piping on your seat from yellow to red? New seat? I only ask because if you're getting rid of it, I happen to have a yellow Monster that I'm not planning on painting and I'd be real interested in it....

Haven't decided. I'll look for used sargent seats w/ red piping and then sell mine, in which case you can be assured that there will be a FS post on the DMF. I also will look for leather/fabric paint or some equivalent for the quick 'n dirty solution, but unless I'm confident what I find is quality and won't look like a hack job, I'll probably do the seat swap thing.
the blue and white should attract blond girls ...lol [laugh] I gets my vote [thumbsup]
