Here is a photochop of my 750. Something similar will happen if I get this job at this custom bike shop (they said its cool during non work hours). I know the seating frame area is wonky. It will be getting diff pipes as well. Tank is stock with the top cut off. Probably looses 1/2 gal to 3/4 gal. Fly screen and mini hugger are already in place and the belly pan will be made over the winter.

colors will likely change as well. Maybe raw metal with clear coat (tank, belly pan, fly screen, hugger). Frame will remain black.
pipe idea is pretty good actually. how do you want to change it?
Those are just crappy pipe ends I picked up from Autozone. They offer zero performance. I need a bit more length and resistance cause its running a bit lean I think and its a tad loud on the shitty end of the loud spectrum. Im gonna put a Dan Moto conical GP pipe on there.
Still need to work out the frame/tank/seat area. Maybe cut that portion of the tank and reposition the hinge? Keep original hinge and build new frame bits to accommodate the new seat location? Needs to still allow for tank hinge movement...
The tank and fairings remind me of a SuperDuke.
[thumbsup] I love the sharp angles of KTM designs
Lose the belly pan and the gap between the arse plate and the frame has to go but the rest oh yes.
That would be too low of a seat. Basically sitting on the frame as it is in real life. That area will need serious tweaking but the goal is to raise it (though this rendition may be a bit too high) to a more race/sport height.
Maybe some side panels to fill the void under the seat?
Memper....I frickin love that TANK!! [thumbsup]
I would love to do that to my tank....anyone want to venture a guess what that would cost?
I think the tail looks too long.
looks awesome. do it!
we'll see if it makes it into the build thread this winter (fingers crossed). Smaller pan and slightly lower seat/tail.
I'm not feeling it. The tank looks like you simply chopped the top off. It looks pretty weird from the side view, but it will look terrible from any top side angle. Also, the seat and tail section look disjointed. [thumbsdown]
I think as long as you shape the top of the tank, similiar to the RAD DUC tanks with the helmet indents it will work
If you are going to be cutting up a reasonably good tank, can I interest you in a slightly more beat up one on trade?
Nice concept. But in my opinion the belly pan looks too heavy compared to the tank/tail section
that space between the seat pan and the frame could be a storage area... haha idk
Just fab up two side panels to join the pan and the frame to cover the hole...

I agree. Pan would be there for track days I suppose.
