I think that Disney has been able to produce some more than decent scifi movies and they can't do any worse than Episode 1. I think that, as Lucas learned the hard way, they will try to keep the story as close to the same tone as the original trilogy as possible.

its all a big scheme. next month lucas will buy enough shares to effectively own disney (and lucas films.) and he will still have the bank from selling to begin with.

That's what I heard too only I heard he was also going to buy the rights to Moto GP and only allow Ducatis to race. That way Ducati always wins.

Well I'm sure its a lot of things. He just had the battle with the neighbors over wanting to expand Lucas film and they said "NIMBY" (http://www.slate.com/articles/business/moneybox/2012/05/facebook_george_lucas_and_nimbyism_the_idiotic_rules_preventing_silicon_valley_from_building_the_houses_and_offices_we_need_to_power_american_innovation_.html) and he's running all three companies, and who knows what else.. You ever get tired? I know I do.
