Cat-like reflexes that tell your body, when falling face first towards a concrete sidewalk, to fall into the shoulder and side and roll with it.
Yes, love me my cat-like reflexes that likely saved me a trip to the dentist and/or a trip to the ER.
;D
Was this initial falling face first toward the sidewalk in any way related to yesterday's activities? [beer]
Figured someone would assume that. [roll]
No. Sidewalks mangled by tree roots. Not looking down at every step while walking pups at lunch.

... since she can't be seen, how do you know she's hiding her eyes with her hands? hmm?

Logical really, she can be seen if she's not hiding her eyes, therefore if I can't see her, she must be hiding her eyes. Simple.

Taking a woman flying who in her fifties won't see but a few more sunrises. Getting a hug and a tearful thank you for helping to fill her bucket, is better than dragging knees anywhere.
Saturday morning, cleaning the cathedral ceiling in my living room with my 5 year old daughter helping, we have the following conversation:
V: Daddy why are there so many spider webs up there ?
Me: They're not spider webs honey, they're cobwebs.
V: Well how do the cobs get in the house ?
[laugh] [laugh] [laugh]
(and before anyone corrects me, yes I know cobwebs are made by spiders )

I really don't know what's wrong with me.
But... I've met rootchick. She'd probably be cool with it.
And she's married to you.
Which raises the question: what the hell is wrong with her?

I see what you did there.

What kind of product made it to the stores? I am always excited to see someone start to get something out there [thumbsup]
When you call up a certain delivery service, as pissed as possible, but somehow they manage to send the guy back. He gets there quick, is really polite and apologizes for the delay. It pays to be polite on the phone, while still letting the guy know that you are POed. ;D

Really really high winds that give me the ever so slight chance of telling my boss that the work hoopty got crushed by a big tree limb (or better yet: an entire tree) which therefore created access to the interior which a crook took advantage of who then took my work computer and shit.
Come ONNN big winds!

So the SO and I went to the Minnesota Zoo this weekend (a pretty cool place), since she had never been there…
In the Minnesota Trail section, which consists of native critters, there is a rather impressive Lynx display. As we were walking up to it, we saw a young family consisting of the two parents and their young son, who was maybe four or so. The two lynx were front and center, and the one was sort of nuzzling the other. Within a second or two he suddenly sort of grabbed the other by the scruff of the neck with his mouth, stepped over, and they started getting it on! The young mom, horrified, spun around her son and began to lead him away from the terrifying spectacle as I quietly said, “allllll riiiiiiight†in my best Quagmire imitation. Her grinning husband then took off after them.
To think that you’d see such a terrible thing in such a place as a zoo!
:)
Giggity!
