i need new slip-ons for my old m900 city [bang]
i was riding back from bear mountain after installing a new suspension arch and tidying up the tail a bit and, all of a sudden, the bike started sounding much better [Dolph] ``wow,'' i thought to myself, ``the new hoop has really improved the sound of this bike!'' then i realized, after a few more miles down 9w, how unlikely that was. so i pulled over and looked down. straight pipes on the right side.
shit [roll] where can i find some good new cans for such an old beast? need suggestions please. it wasn't an expense i was counting on, so i'd like to keep the cost to a minimum. but i also don't want cheap chinese crap. i like the look of MIVV ovals, but are they well built? it seems like GPR makes a quality product -- says hand made in italy -- do they sound sweet? i'd also dig some used termis, but they're rare...
thanks for your help! really appreciate this board.

I run mivv high mounts on my 900. Fit and finish are great (cArbon)
Heard low mounts stick out kinda of oddly. Mine sound real good
No db killers and not to loud
Check the sponsors.
I've seen Leo Vince and Arrow pipes for a good price.
Used carbon Termis cost $500+ here [thumbsdown], new alloy LVs can be found for less up there [thumbsup].

Cycle Cats and I'm sure the ovals will sound similar to the rounds, which sound awesome.
I picked up a brand new pair of staintunes from the factory for $500 (usually $1295) plus $8 fuel ;D. Admittedly for an S4 but they fit.
Send then an email or check on ebay they still may have a pair left. They did have some hi mounts for about $700 - $800.

anyone got any used carbon cans for sale? want to part with your MIVVs or Termis? [coffee]
There's a pair of Termi's for sale in the classifieds, don't know about fitment though.
I'm also looking for a new exhaust on my M900 1996.
But I don't know wich types will fit ... ???
M600/750/900 Years??
I'm looking for someting like KopfJäger [thumbsup]. carbon and low mounting
Wich brand and type is that??
Many thanks !!!
i am going with the MIVVs -- i want the ovals with carbon caps. but i need to find a better price than $900 [thumbsdown] will be looking on ebay, as it looks like some dealer puts them on there for random prices that vary greatly... [coffee]
any help would be appreciated! this old monster is worth $4k tops and i've plowed over twice that into it now in the past year. [bang] but i love her, just the same. [wine]
I've got stock rearsets on mine. Where they bolted up the angle was weird because of the length of the rearsets. Kop your bike is why I got Mivvs, Ijust got hi mounts. But your bike is the best looking bike on the internet.
What are you guys with hi mounts and rear sets doing for heat shield on the pipe? I just got the ducabike rear sets which are awesome but I can't avoid the mivv pipes

That video is the exact vid that inspired me to buy my duc!! [popcorn] thanks Matty [bow_down]
I really like my Spark high mounts. I got mine from Jeff at MonsterParts but he had trouble getting mine to he quit carrying them. I think Motowheels might carry them.

I wrapped my pipes, not so much for heat but to mostly match the jet coating on my exhaust
I fitted BOS cans to mine, they are marked as track only but are the same length as oe cans except narrower and louder.

So...I've decided to pull the trigger on a pair of the MIVV carbon GP cans (from PJ's Parts) for my 2001 900S ie, BUT... I have reached that great fork in the road: whether to go hi-mount or low mount? I was thrown into this dilemma when I discoved that the GP can is available in the hi-mount, which I did not previously know existed. The smaller GP can looks pretty clean/unobtrusive in the hi-mount position (vs a standard size can). Of course, the low mount just seems...style-wise...cooler. Is it quieter?
GAWD...the pressure of this decision!! My wife has left me (okay FINE - it was the cuckold porn collection), I've lost my job , and I've taken to drinking excessively. Wait...I just realized I've never been happier....
Whatta ya think? I have the requisite chopped tail, a CF rear hugger (what a great fit up...NOT), and the standard, boat anchor Ducati footpeg mount castings.
Enquiring minds need to know!!

Someone on here had Cherry Bombs welded up. Cherry Bombs are cheap mufflers usually used on V8 trucks.

LOW MOUNT
If youre not on the track, low mount. If you are, high.

If youre not slow on the track, low mount. If you are fast, high.
Fixed it for ya. [thumbsup]
I wrecked from dragging low mounts. Never have them again.
