First thing I thought. Looks like an r6 about 3-4 years ago.
First thing I thought was Ducati still builds the best looking SBK's.

I wouldn't say they make the beast with two backsed it up, but I will say it has evolved poorly. I'd still rock one, but I like the older ones better.

Youd rather be seen on an R6 over one of those?
Meh...all sportbikes look alike. ;D
Is that a third headlight?

Sounds like a very familiar debate not long ago about monsters.

Don't really care about being seen on, but the thing just looks like ass in my eyes. If anything, I'd pick up one of the remaining '12s that will be out there. Or, I'd just say F it and go whole hog with the RSV4R.

I'd like to, at some point, pickup another 675. I was happy with my 06 I bought back in the day, but I have to say, the 675R has my interest (last years model)
Eggxactly.

I don't think any manufacturer aims at building a bike "that doesn't look to bad." ;D
So far I like this one as much as I liked the first generation 675. Maybe a little more but I'll reserve final judgement until I see one in the flesh. The second generation 675 with the Darth Vader nose? I'll pass on that one.
Almost looks as if they've made the move to a plastic tank...
I don't mind it except for the tail section/fender. It is the same one on the new Street Triple, and it makes me happy I bought mine this year.

Probably not...but that's the best I could ever say about the 675. It's a cool bike, but hasn't ever been a great looking bike IMO.

Then I got a look at the head on / nose on shot. I'm not so sure anymore. ??? [puke]
BTW --- it looks like I'm going to need another fuel tank for the 848.

Yeah, the S1K looks fine. Once you put a bag over its head.
The really sad part is so little technical change. Just +2hp and ft/lbs and only 3 pounds lighter than the bike developed 7years ago. The generic styling could be forgiven if it really moved the performance bar.
Agreed, new one doesn't look as good as previous.
any thoughts if that rear subframe would fit on a new monster? It looks "trellis-enough" to be an improvement on the design flaw Ducati decided upon for the new models.
