thoughts? the new monster is growing on me, but I will always be an m900 kinda guyhttps://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151614089597741&set=a.344856472740.157343.51822757740&type=1&theater (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10151614089597741&set=a.344856472740.157343.51822757740&type=1&theater)
hmmm...can't access FB and FB links here at work....
the bottom of the fairing needs a bit shaping, but all in all, a nice idea.
wonder how the front it mounted

Zoom, it's sort of a Paul Smart sport classic fairing kit for the Monster
so a Dunstall classic type of fairing like what Gustafsson sells then and adapted to a newer gen bike? -> http://www.bikescreen.com/index.html (http://www.bikescreen.com/index.html)
Needs a new tail piece though
Me like... [clap]
I would be tempted
To me it looks to front end heavy, it has a tiny little arse and a huge set of tits.
Also the fairing needs to come back towards the rider a little
the whole reason i got into monsters was the naked aspect. too much plastic for me. first thing i always do with em is take it all off anyway. [thumbsdown]
I agree with ugly ducky, got mine for the naked look too but I would love to be able to add some plastic for the windy highway rides
Me likey very much
I like it but the exhaust needs to be slimmed down and a tail section would be the icing on that cake.
Sport Classic? That's got Hailwood written all over it.
It's a photo butchered MH900E fairing grafted on top of a monster photo and doesn't exist in reality.
The flowing shape from tank to fairing is making it look front heavy as is the sense that the fairing slopes downward towards the front and I find it clumsy looking as a result
.
I've seen better monster conversions using a retro fairing originally made for an SV650 made by poly26.

it's an mhe900 fairing, which in reality is nothing to with hailwood as such. the colours and scheme thereof is from the ncr bevels of the 70's. hailwoods was an ncr bike, but it was painted red/white/green as it was sponsored by castrol.
they should have been called ncr evolutions, or painted red/white/green. historical inaccuracy in the face of overwhelming evidence really shits me.

If you look at the image on the right of it, there is a Castrol scheme in there.

yes, i saw that. i was just ranting about the original.
i quite like the light blue pantah. not sure why i'm getting into that one lately.
the actual bike looks much less ridiculous if you crop the picture so the margins are even. Still not really my bag, but not entirely front heavy.
Not my thing, as for me also, the whole fairing thing on a monster makes it no longer a monster. Agreed the rear cowl needs rework. More in the MHR style, with the peak and reverse scallop on the back, rather than the cockleshell seat cap of the standard bike.
To my eyes also, there is something not quite right with the trailing edge of the fairing and the tank's top front section where the gauze is located. It just doesn't have the right matching shape.
Perhaps an MHR style chunky tail may balance it, but I'm not so sure.
Still, it's a lot of work making an early SS replica style from a monster.
early on, I felt the next gen SS could easily be built with the modular style of the new Monster frame.
I'm still convinced of this, just not this kit.
