With temperatures forecast to reach around 40°C .... it seemed like a good day to go for a ride around the neighbourhood.
Started with a fuel-up at my local servo... the day was already beginning to warm up..

Cool in the shade on my way down to the coast..

The rail tracks have sadly long ago been ripped up but some of the old trestles remain..

Bloody hot now. The 'roos sensibly stayed in the shade despite the warnings..

Remains of the old bridge over the Powlett River..

The Powlett meandering closer to its destination..

The river meets the ocean..

Over the bridge to Phillip Island (tedious riding on the island, so I didnt)...

Refreshment stop. By the time I got to the Fish Creek pub my 3 litre Camelbak was empty.... heat of the day had really begun to hit. Replenished my water supplies... doused my t-shirt.... ready for the road again.

Few rumbles of thunder on the way home... two or three drops of rain.. a cooler and pleasant end to a fun but hot day out 8)
Your bike makes me wish I'd held out to find an 1100s instead of picking up my evo. Stupid wet clutch. >:(
[thumbsup]
great scenery.
i love the fact that you hear and see things from all around the world herejavascript:void(0);
meanwhile in germany we had -12°C this morning.

It's cold and wet here in northeast USA too. Stupid weather. I'm doing everything wrong. Also, I'm hungover this morning. Stupid beer.
Nice pics U!
Great pic Ung . . .
Very sexy bike. i'm usually not a fan of lots of gold bits (except the ohlins of course) but it all works on yours.
Very jealous of your wheels.
You also have the black over red going on which I find so appealing in any era Monster.
Really nice looking bike.
Thanks for sharing the pictures. I love those large ferns. You can almost feel the cooler temps.
Awesome pics Ung! [Dolph]
I'm jealous it is not even 40 F here. [thumbsdown]

Very nice. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for all your kind words folks :)
When riding with others its not always possible to stop and grab photos, but since my riding buddies... one by one.. all dropped out as the forecast of hot temps kept escalating, I thought it was a good opportunity to catch a few pics.
Cheers, Ung.
Im off work from 23rd til 7th. Time to do that Gippy run. Ill let you know when I can take a whole day.

Cool Tony. Been too long. We'll need the WHOLE day too, so bring your tuckerbag [laugh] [thumbsup].
I might tag along for that ride, if you don't mind another koko coming along Ung?

Sounds good!

Ung,
I've given the bro some dates I'm up for a long day ride up your way.
He'll work out his days and then contact you. Hopefully, all three of us will be able to get dates lined up! [beer]
Cheers,
GK
Nice one ung, brings back some memories of when we were down that way!
That's one great bike Ung, and your ride report and photos make me wish I was out there somewhere riding my bike.

I like the picture where it was cooler through all the ferns and green leafy stuff.
