I'm not sure of the year, but it is a 125. Not in great shape. I have found some resources online. I see a few parts on Ebay. So anyone able to point me to some of their sources for info and parts? Is there a person/company that might be able to help me out if I have a question? Any really good websites?
This should be a fun project. I need to start tearing it apart and see what is salvageable and what is toast. I still haven't decided on keeping it the original color, blue, or make it Ducati red.
Not sure if you already found this resource but it's a pretty good one.

parts are the same for almost all of the narrow-case singles with spring heads (no desmo).
very hard to find stuff. if you do a full rebuild, it will pay to have the shims custom made (crank and rod)

your profile says 34, so you are wrong by a mile.
Ah crap. What the hell did I get myself into...
Ok, got it home. body wise there is mostly surface rust so I lucked out there. Engine won't move but I can't tell much about it until I start tearing it down. The only thing I kinda am worried about is the tank. The inside is rusted really bad & the cap is toast. Not sure if I can save it or not. I'll have to check it out more this weekend.
Sooooooooo much to do. But at least I didn't pay much of anything for it. I think I am going to go wheels, body then engine.

have fun with that 2-part crank!
just douse it all with penetrant now (the engine), hell, just dip the thing and let it soak for a few weeks, then start on it.
frames are pretty solid. if you are doing a frame-off then just blast it and paint it.
shuold be fine, plenty of folks have rebuilt them.

Doesn't the 125 Bronco have a pushrod engine? Narrowcase engines are bevel drives. FWIW the smaller narrowcase engines (160 and under) were different than the 175 and larger narrowcase engines. A few parts interchange between the two families, but not many. And I'd guess pretty much none of them will work on a pushrod engine.
All that said, the bevelhead list would be a good starting point, there's a lot of knowledge there. Unfortunately there's also a lot of off topic BS. I was on the list for a few years but finally had enough a few months ago.
I doubt Bevelheaven has much for the pushrod Ducs, a better choice might be to check out Road and Race in Australia. http://www.roadandrace.com.au/index.html
Guzzino.com might have a gas cap for it along with other generic bits. http://www.guzzino.com/itac.html
Yup, it's a push rod. Guzzino has the gas cap YEA!!!!!!!!.
I'll get some pictures this weekend.

good grief, I had completely forgotten it was a pushrod. i had it for many years and did little work on it other than sched maintance and the carb/brakes. i had a monza and i think that's what i'm thinking of when i remember working on the bronco -- i don't think i did much on the bronco at all.
Mad Duc, I have several old shop manuals for the singles, I don't know how you'd use them now, and they are antiques, but maybe i can dupe them somehow. i have the factory manual and an old haynes manual and some other stuff i am sure i have forgotten (part of my library of manuals)
If you can copy them I'll pay you for your time or if you want to sell them I'm willing to pay ya. Either way that would really help out the cause.
Thanks man!

shop around a bit on ebay. Guzzino is great, but his prices are pretty high. he has the Cavis Benz fuel line for like 200% of what I find it every where else.

Yeah, he's not a bargain basement shop, but he does carry some nifty stuff.
Re: Cavis Benz fuel line. The green stuff? I put some on my 750 GT when I rebuilt it. My wife saw it and asked if it came in any other colors, like black or silver? I woulda been mad but I didn't like it either to be honest.
No worries, it turned brown pretty fast anyway once it came in contact with gasoline.
That's my long way of saying unless you're a serious purist, I'd pass on the fancy fuel line...

i like the green stuff and you can find it much cheaper. if yours is turning brown, you need to clean out your gas tank!! that's rust tainting the gas. it should just cloud some due to the ethanol in today's gas (I remember when it would stay green translucent with the leaded gas of yore)

I doubt it. The tank was stripped and sealed before use... (No, not with Kreem. I hate that stuff)

that's very weird. all of my older bikes and some of the later ones have cavis benz and none of them are brown. cloudy yes, from ethanol, but none are brown...

I picked up one a couple years back, and slowly have been accumulating parts for it. I stripped down the engine this spring and is getting ready to go back together. I bought one of these catalogs (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Catalog-Manual-Ducati-Bronco-125-Motorcycle_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em14Q2el1318QQhashZitem360069199963QQitemZ360069199963 (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Parts-Catalog-Manual-Ducati-Bronco-125-Motorcycle_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3286Q2em14Q2el1318QQhashZitem360069199963QQitemZ360069199963)) and it includes a bunch of exploded views that have been helpful.
