I just got back from getting a new front tire mounted on my front wheel. They didn't have anymore 120/70 2ct's so I got a Pilot Power Race in the same size. Any thoughts on if that's a good or a bad thing, considering things like warm up time. It was cheap for$115 mounted.
I'm thinking on a hard mountain run it want be a problem. Don't know about regular street riding.
What cha think?

Just be very very careful on the brakes and avoiding maneuver when the tires are cold, they can be very unpredictable before they warm up.
you should have it swapped for a 2ct as soon as they have them in stock again, then you can sell the pilot race.

Not to mention the limited heat cycles it will take and then just go "off" without much warning. I tried race tires on the street once, that was enough... Careful out there man.

something close to that happened to my dad
thay put on a race tire and after a couple of weeks it started to leak "blue" on the surface and the tire got really hard and when he would beak hard the back would just slide
like as if there was oil on the ground
if your mainly street riding i'd advise against it
mich pp 2ct's are so amazing i love them on my monster
