Says Speed will be the 2013 broadcast partner but they only mention the Daytona weekend.
Hmmm...
currently there are no plans to air any other AMA road race events
:'(
great job DMG!!!

I'm convinced that the only reason Speed didn't completely get rid of AMA years ago was because on DMG. Now that Speed is not dedicated 100% to motorsports, it doesn't make sense to keep airing AMA, which was probably not that much watched anyway. Contrary to popular belief on this forum, motorcycle racing is NOT a big draw in the US.
it was a hell of a lot bigger draw before they got in there.

programs they had in the past like Two Wheeled Tuesday were well recieved and watched back in the day...
the 'problem' era where the OEMs had most of the say in the series doesn't seem like much of a problem at all in hindsight.
Remember how everyone thought DMG would turn the AMA into NASCAR? What will we do with all those fans? Ticket prices will go up! Josh will ride the TIDE bike! I thought their biggest mistake was canceling Fontana, the home to the world's largest sport bike culture. But I would say not having a way to broadcast your sport is pretty much the cake taker.
There's no denying the empty stands here in the US.
:(

I liked 2 Wheeled Tuesday. Greg White didn't seem nearly as irratating as he does now. He conducted good interviews with a variety of bike racers and asked fairly intelligent questions. I can see the show would have a very small market share of viewers but I was one of them.
PS You want to see empty stands? Just watch the last few Daytona races... any of them! SBK, Daytona Sportbike, etc. There are more people in my teenager's math class than were at Daytona!! [bang] Man! Has that race gone downhill from it's glory days! :P World champs used to show up and race and the factories busted their ass to win. Now it's like a drive to Wal-Mart with Grandma.

So, I gotta watch Speed until Aug and then some other network after that? Motogp subscription this year, methinks.
BTW, my God, has DMG make the beast with two backsed up AMA racing or what? I almost turned the corner on them because DSB has been so amazing to watch the last coupla years. But now I can't even watch the AMA races (those that are left) on TV. make the beast with two backs that.
Not enough sponsorship money for 2 wheels. Even MotoGP faces the same issue. Nascar barely have enough room to fit in all the ads.

yup.
hey, anyone: to have 2 wheel motorsports succeed in the US you have to include the OEMs. stop trying to find ways not to. thanks.

yeah.
this might not be the last season of AMA road racing after all.
I don't know how they pulled it off with attendance so low, but I'm keeping my mouth shut about that.
