Title: what is your source for F1?
Post by: roggie on February 28, 2013, 05:41:07 PM
sorry if this has been discussed already...

(for those in the US)
With SPEED dropping F1 this year im thinking of ditching Comcast and trying to find an alternative source for F1 coverage. I would want races and qualifying live and possibly some practices (not necessarily live). It sounds like NBC Sports will be covering all of this on cable and there was mention of online accessibility as well, but im not sure what that means, i.e. free or not.

Id really like to ditch Comcast, they are a complete rip off and i have been dealing with one issue after another since last summer.

Any suggestions for an alternative route?

They only race there once. What do you suggest for the rest of the season?  [popcorn]

Well, we found out that there are a shitload of F1 fans down here. I'm sure he'll find a place.

Thanks for fringing this up. I completely forgot Speed lost the rights to F1. I do have NBC sprts station here so I should be able to see all the races, but non-cable, I got nothin.

Ill keep looking as well. You should be able to stream something from the net, but Im sure you will have to pay a fee of some sort.

I plan to watch it on Dish Network. They have that NBC sports channel. I just hope NBC doesnt screw it up.

Dish has been working for me for a long time now. It only goes out in really bad weather or heavy snow fall lots of times I can just go out and knock the snow off the dish and its fixed, and if some idiot runs into the utility pole it still works, unlike cable.
