noticed in the official bikes of the dmf thread that a couple of you have the rizoma suspension hoop or similar.
any ideas where to get one?
No longer produced. :( There are people with templates for CNC...
In case anyone is wondering what this thread is all about, here's my Rizoma suspension hoop.

I have an alternative billet hoop seen here:

Here's a much older picture, when I had an Ex Box, so you can see a little more of it:

I really like the billet one.
one will turn up eventually
(just wait till i crash real big - you'd be the 4th owner)
Does this thing replace the factory hoop? I've never looked close at the DSS suspension...
It's only for 2000 and older Monsters. In 2001 they changed the frame and the rear suspension layout that did away with that hoop.
yuu hit it on the head - this is only applicable on hooped monsters and is a direct replacement part. the suspension is completely different on newer DSS monsters.
man showing me stuffs i cannot buy :(

My 2001 m900 dark has a hoop......
Yes, the 01 was the last year of the 851-888 based frame. The 02-07 Monsters got the ST based frame (as did the S4 - arguably just an early entry of the st framed monsters, since it doesn't fit so neately in year grouping).
Btw, I will respond to your pm tonight, I hope.
Style and Performance in Italy manufacture a billet hoop:

I got that one in black on one monster. Nice piece. They (S&P) ignored all my attempts at contacting (perhaps no direct sales to end user in USA?) so I went through Anthony @ Desmoworks. I'd like to pick up a second in the near future. It is slightly taller than the OEM, raising rise height without resort to spacers, thereby quickening steering and shortening wheel base.

+1!
Damn they look beautiful.
Just out of curiosity, how much would someone pay for a pristine Rizoma hoop if it happened that I just took one off my bike last weekend....?

CRASH knows what he has...
trust me. ;)
Sorry guys, my hoop got snapped up by a friend. He came over and helped me take all the tasty bits off and restore the factory parts...
As Nate noted, I know what I have. I've been AWOL lately, but I was on this board before there was a board ;)
Here's a pic anyway...

We have the S&P hoops in stock.

Which colors?
Odd question: Happen to have blue? I am about to place an order for some miscellaneous other bits (for the GT1000) anyway.
Viable alternative ?
