Title: Late model monster exhaust systems
Post by: schoona on March 06, 2013, 09:28:05 PM
Hey there,
Just looking for good quality exhaust. I know I've got the baby monster but still think the sound can be enhanced.

Obviously termi but not sure 1400 + shipping is worth it for slip ons and no performance gain.
Plus 'kind of' bored with seeing Ducati and carbon fibre cans. If that makes sense...

Favourite alternative is 'competition werkes' system. Anyone got opinions on their gear?

Other alternatives?

Hey Schoona
Does that termi slippon kit for $1400 come with an ecu and air filter to suit??
Not sure on the newer models, ??? but usualy if you play with the exhaust ,the ecu needs to be changed or tuned/power commander to suit?

Can't recomend a good system for your model monster, but those competition werke's jobbys, look real good ,and for $764 from monster parts plus post [thumbsup]
Probably worth getting the baffles for the extra $70 just in case ?
And again you might need to change the ecu or add a power commander? and have it retuned ???

Thanks! Was looking in the wrong spot!
So many options :l

Yeah not sure I want to spend that much on the whole termi lot on a restricted bike and for no more performance.

Don't mind the vance and Hines, mivv suono and roads italia setups.

Favourite still the competition werkes setup I think.

Any dramas with fitment as far as our tails/number plates etc when using stuff from o/s

'Like is there aus spec termi's a dealer would get and eu spec for a German buying them' ??

If all you want is noise, there's also the option of coring your pipes.

There's a 'how to' in the tutorials section from memory.

And the presentation side of it as well.
Standard pipes aren't ugly but can be made better. Subjective of course.
Nice looking bikes should have nice looking pipes
