Hi guys,
My Ducati Monster 1100 has been stolen from my home in North Melbourne. I had it parked at the pathway below my apartment in the night on 11 March 2013, and it was stolen the next morning. When I went down at approx. 9am, my bike was nowhere to be found. I suspected the theft to have happened between 1am and 8am on 12 March 2013.
Below are some details of my bike,
(http://www.ducatimonster.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=109201&d=1363179125)

If anyone has come across my bike or has seen my bike anywhere on the road or come across anyone who's trying to sell it, please PM me.

Thank you for your time.
Thought they were safe in melb!
Commiserations, and I hope that it was insured well.
Keep us posted on progress.
Know I would be gutted if mine went missing

Yeah, I thought so too until mine got stolen. :(
I'm really hoping that I will be able to recover it soon. *fingers crossed*
+1 on the commiserations, you must be feeling gutted right now.

This is a long but very worthwhile read, gives some good suggestions as to how to prevent a bike from being stolen.
Sorry to hear Bel_31 :(
Any news on your bike?

I'd say it's an old ad from when the OP bought it?

Thanks duke8 but it's an old ad which I've put up last year. Still no news on my bike yet. :(
I think I saw your post in another Ducati forum. Perhaps post on Netrider as well: http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/stolen-bike-register.107/ (http://www.netrider.net.au/forums/stolen-bike-register.107/)
Good luck, I hope you get the bike back.

Thanks JH.
Yea, I've been trying to post in as many relevant forums as possible. I've just posted in Netrider. Thanks for recommending.

Just wondering... do you think the theft could be related to the ad and, maybe, someone who came to see the bike at that time?
JH
Thats a good point. I tend not to sell from home for that reason as the scum get to case your place. Maybe some stood out as dodgey, or gave an unconfortable vibe.
Bel, sorry for your loss.

Put the word out on social media Facebook etc!! It all helps! [thumbsup]
Hope you find it but if you haven't had any word by now, good chance it's gone.
I guess if you were selling it anyway and your insurance paid out somewhere near what you would have accepted for it it's not all bad.
Personally, after the cocks that stole it have had their way with it, I wouldn't want the bike back unless it had some kind of crazy sentimental value to it (as mine does for me).
Just to reiterate, anybody who wants to make it more difficult for their bike to be stolen should read this
