Hey guys
This year the Quail Motorcycle Gathering will have a special display celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Monster. If you’ve never been to this event, it is pretty special and this year would be a great opportunity to do a Monster meetup/ride/gathering surrounding the event. In short, I am thinking we could organize a ride with two legs (SoCal and NorCal) that come together somewhere in Carmel or Monterey in the days prior to the event. I can work on finding a host hotel, dinner spots, riding routes, etc., but wanted to gauge interest. If you’re interested, respond to this thread and as things develop, I will add details here.
Here’s some info on the Quail Motorcycle Gathering:
Date: Saturday, May 4, 2013
Time: 10:00am â€" 3:30pm

I've long wanted to attend this event; alas, this won't be the year. Quail Lodge is a stunning facility in the heart of one of my favorite bits of country; last time I was there was for my wedding reception. Turns out that wedding was a really bad idea, but it seems a stretch to hold Quail Lodge responsible.
Hope you get a great crew together! [thumbsup]

Thanks. Sorry you can’t make it. I’m sure it will be a good time.
Hi All!
Nicole here from The Quail Motorcycle Gathering - let me know if I can answer any questions you might have about the event... we're excited to be celebrating the Monster!
See you there!
Hi Nicole,
While I won't be able to attend, I was wondering if there's an event program that I might be able to purchase as something to commemorate the Monster anniversary celebration?

I started a meetup group for the event. I am still dialing in the final details, but click the link below to see how things are shaking out!

FYI: Ducati has organized for Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca to open up the track for us to do some parade laps the Friday before the event!
This looks amazing! I'm doing everything I can to make it out for one of the days

Hope you can make it. It should be a lot of fun.
This is looking to be a good event! I'm in central Cali so if I attend it will be on the day of the event.
Laguna Seca sounds good tho..., I'm gonna try to make it happen.
I too am in Central Cal. See you guys there. [thumbsup]

What does this mean exactly? is there a cap to the number of people that can ride on the track and how could we participate in the parade lap? Thanks! :)

There is no cap to the number of Monsters we’re going to have on track. Only requirement is that you are riding a Monster and have proper gear (details to come on this). All you have to do to participate is show up with the group coming up from SoCal or show up at the designated time (Exact time TBD, but expect it to be late afternoon). If you intend to come for any or all of the ride, make sure to RSVP on the meetup page, so we can estimate how many folks will be there and plan accordingly.

Do it!
Great news about parking at The Quail Motorcycle Gathering!
On the day of the event, Ducati Monster owners will have the most premium parking at the event, a designated area on the fairway grass directly in front of the main entrance. Ducati will provide kickstand pucks. Lets represent with an army of Monsters!
We’re one week out and have more than 30 riders planning to join throughout the trip. Would be great to have more! Right now, the group doing the trip in its entirety (Newport to Carmel) is about 10 folks. Where are the SoCal Monster folks at?
^^^ Would love to meet you in Santa Barbara for lunch @ Ducati of SB. It's in the middle of a work day, though, so I'll have to play it as it lays. [beer]

If the event was fri, sat, and Sunday, I'm sure you would get a large amount of riders, including myself. It's during the work week. :-\
I can't wait, looking forward to meeting everybody.
Prepping the monster this weekend for the haul.
