Nothing yet? C'mon guys!! ;D
Not looking good for the Ducs...apparently the 1199 is 20 km/hr down on the straights.

I know I fumbled the ball on this by not paying a lot of attention to the "no WSBK on SPEED" thread, but where on DIRECTV is it showing? If at all? What is this BEin that has been mentioned? Treat me like the Neanderthal that I am and try and bring me into this current century. [laugh] [bang] [roll] Mmmmm... fire good.
BeIN is channel 620 on DTV. Fantastic coverage, but you need the sports package to get 620.
or you can watch it stream for free on their website
FOOK YAH CHAZ
Qualifying Results:
+1 to Chaz...front row!! The Ducs didn't even make it into the final superpole session. They're just down too much on top speed....not a good sign for a brand new bike. :-\

Well, crap. Either there needs to be some rule changes where the Ducati's are not hindered by restrictor plates, etc. or Ducati needs to change directions and build a competitive V4. [evil]
Forgot to say "not hindered" earlier. Oops. [roll]
You are dead to me.
It sure appears like twins are reaching their limit. I think they should make a V4. [coffee]

See revision to my above post. [bow_down]
7th best for the Duc in race 1
[bang]
As it's noted... C. Davies wins them both! Always been a fan of Davies. Glad to see he's made it to the big show for a full season with the big boys! [thumbsup] [Dolph] That should have been The Ben's ride had he been smart enough to take it! [bang] [roll] Guess we get another season of The Ben floundering with the CRTs (if he can keep it out of the gravel pit) while Chaz wins a WSBK championship. [beer] [wine] [popcorn]
It was reported on Eurosport that Checa was thrown from a go kart at a press event on Thursday.
Add that to the injuries he sustained in his crash at PI...which included unreported broken ribs...
and his finish doesn't look so bad.
Too bad about Laverty's and Sykes's electronic gremlins.
It would have been a completely different race.
Ageed. [thumbsup]

Race One would have also been different if Melandri hadn't made the two or three big mistakes that he made. The fact that he garnered 3rd speaks to his skill. I don't know about his luck because that went all kinds of ways. [laugh]
Chaz!! [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
Laverty & Sykes. [bang]
The Ducs looked terrible. Granted, all their riders are battling injuries...but it wouldn't have mattered. You can't give up 20+ km/hr on that humongous straight. They should do better at other tracks.
Checa says the bike has trouble in the corners... hmmmm... where have we heard that about that frame [laugh]
He wasn't losing out that much in the corners. Did he say this on a post race interview?
Carlos Checa: ‘I think there has been some improvement on the chassis side, although I still had trouble through the corners â€" in race one I was struggling to find the apex.'
How could there be improvements on the chassis side? There is no chassis.
Checa was having problems with understeer in both races.
Wouldn't have mattered if he didn't though.

Man I need to catch up on WSBk technology! I didn't know that they had moved on to bikes with no wheels, suspensions, swingarms or adjustments of any kind... [cheeky]
Frameless =/= Chassis-less. There is still a chassis ya goof.

Somebody please tell Checa he's a bit too old to be racing 'karts for publicity stunts.....who's the moron (at Dorna?) dreaming these things up? [roll]
the supersport race was betta.
poor sam
I never watched the Supersports before. Like BP said, it was a good race. Interesting that there are no Suzukis in the field. Lots of Hondas instead. Funny that in the U.S. the Honda presence is very small. I thought I heard that MV was running at least one F3 though.
I must say that Chaz was on a mission. The Eurosport announcers kept saying that with a 5 second lead he could back off at least a bit.
I am glad for the BeIN live solid broadcast once again!!!
BeIn is showing the World Superstock race on Thursday as well. [thumbsup]

WSS are almost always good races. [thumbsup]
Bike choices are indeed very interesting. 600 cc club racing in the US is dominated by R6s mainly, and then GSXR600s, followed by a few Hondas, Kawis, & Duc 848s. Funny how WSS is dominated by Hondas and Kawis...almost the exact opposite.
