ahhh.... it's good to have her back. Got through my 12,000 mile mortgage paymentservice, and picked up a spiffy red 520 chain and a new dp light sprocket ( no change to the teeth ).... life is good.
WTF, did they give you a loaner during your service?? How great would that be for doing work on your bike? Ride up and drop it off, and hop onboard something else to take home for the week! No muss, no fuss, no trailer, no getting the wife to follow you up there. That would make getting serviced almost a good thing!

I would think a few days on a different Ducati might make you want one of those too.
The demo bike mileage would get pretty high, but the 2-valvers go forever anyway...
I took the "Marlboro" Hypermotard on a demo run about two months ago and loved every minute of it. Did you hate it or what? Certainly not a superbike but ample power, comfort and looks...

+1 on my demo...had to get used to the position but that was quickly an afterthought when I twisted the throttle. [evil] I think just about every cager and biker I passed on the freeway stared at it, like WTF is that? [laugh]
Glad to hear the triple 9 is back...look out Dallas 8)
the hyper was fun, the suspension was a bit soft, but that was nice on the freeway... I kept wanting to do BMX crap on it, and was on the lookout for curbs, ramps, and things to drive over, like medians, curbs, and kawi 250s... Had a blast, but when I got back on the 999, I remembered why I love it sooo much...
