Will visor wipers become available on helmets, surely the technology is there,I tried some rain x on my visor and it helped, but I am thinking a visor wiping mechanism would be better....
Already spent a bunch of time on designing one, years ago........... It would be easier if we had glass visors. Also given the number of riders that actually ride in the rain regularly (that are not broke and can't afford a car) I decided my time would be better spent with products that have stronger markets.
Ok,I think if I attach a cut down wiper blade to the index finger of my glove that may help [thumbsup]
They do make gloves that have a rubber blade along the index finger for that purpose. I'll see if I can find a link for them and get back to you.

Exactly! My design was slimmer, slicker and likely worked better. Still a stupid idea to spend money developing. First rule of inventing products: Do not spend money and time on "niche" products. They cost just as much to develop, produce and sell to a small market as it costs to develop a product for the mass market.
I designed a revolutionary garbage can lid for fast food restaurants. It will cost 200k to develop and market, probably make a hell of a lot more. Downside? Gotta sell to a market I despise. Guess I will stick with flying balloons lol
I have a pair of RS taichi gloves and the left thumb has a rubber "squeegee" on it. They are called dry-star or something like that.

Trouble with any kind of wiper is that any little bit of grit will scratch the visor in no time unless you use tear-offs. Using Rain X or something similar is probably the best we can hope for at the moment.
I turn my head to the side and the wind blows the visor clear (for a second or two)
Lots of Held gloves have visor wipers on the finger. Much easier to use than the ones on the thumb.
Ride faster. It'll scare the rain away.

Too late for that visor - but don't use RainX on them. The alcohol in it can cause plastics commonly used in visors to become brittle and will attack some coatings. I killed of the scratch resistant coating on some paintball goggle lenes. It basically disintegrated.
