Title: How to desecrate a Desmosedici RR...the Sedicifighter
Post by: Stormtrooper on June 18, 2013, 10:42:50 AM
Some interesting aspects to the build (exhaust), but overall it just doesn't work for me.  Rumor has it that this was built for Tom Cruise...figures.

What do you guys think?

Each one of the bikes on that link is uglier than the next. What a horrible headlight. To each their own, I guess...

That exhaust is the Termi upgrade that sold for like 10g's..

Tom Cruise already has a Desmo as well as several other bikes. It wouldn't surprise me if he picked this one up too.

Maybe go head to head with Roland Sands' Desmo-tracker for top honors of what NOT to do to a Desmosedici

im not hating or anything, but it looks photoshopped. There are some items, where the lighting doesnt look right. The rear under tail exhaust for example. Look at the pipe, which is under the seat.. which leads to the muffler. Its lit, but it wouldnt be considering where its positioned.  And the ducati monster headlight?  anyone who has enough money to chop up a desmo, wouldnt take a STOCK monster head light and slap it on?  Streetfighter headlight much cooler.

Imnot saying this isnt built. Just saying the photo is sketchy.

Every bike on that link is a: NO.

So many comments flowing through my cranium right now.  I think I'll just follow my Mum's advice and not say anything.

(Maybe it's time I started building customs again...)

So every keyboard jockey on the planet can second guess and criticize? ;D

I like them all.  Good work by a good talent. None so crazy that they are barely functional like some other builders produce.

There is a whole lot of photoshop on that bike, I opened it up in CS4 with it expanded to 800% you can see almost every panel has been touched up.  It would have looked better if they would have left it alone.  I  will give it a not anyhow.

That stupid friggin headlight hat doesn't look good on any Duc, Desmo not excluded!
Monster headlight? No. But at least its not a make the beast with two backsing predator mask with fog lamps in the eye sockets.

Perhaps use the stock fairing and make it a quarter fairing. And I gotta say, despite the PS work, the open body of the Desmo looks good.

Overall, I wouldnt kick it out of bed but actually not a whole lot was done.

Let's say that you are a world renowned plastic surgeon, a masterclass one at that. And let's also say that you are dating Gina Gershon.
You like sex, and Gina is one sexy woman. You also like breasts, good thing that Gina has those as well. Then one afternoon while having sex with Gina, you have an epiphany. "I like doggy-style sex most, and I love Gina's boobies... being the masterclass surgeon that I am, I should put boobies on Gina's back.

As boob-jobs go, the surgery itself was flawless. As ideas go, it made sense at the time.

But dude... you make the beast with two backsed up Gina Gershon.
