Sorry for the title reference to a super old thread ;D
The main trackday provider in the Seattle area (2-Fast), in association with Ducati Seattle, is once again holding their annual Seattle 100 charity event. This event is a trackday where the proceeds benefit a charity.
The charity this year is Camp Korey, which is a camp in Carnation, Washington that provides a free camp experience to children with serious and life-altering illnesses. It really is a great charity. More info. at http://campkorey.org/ (http://campkorey.org/)
If you're in the area, please considering attending and raising some money for a great cause. Info here: http://seattle100.com/ (http://seattle100.com/)
If you can't attend but would like to donate, here's the link to my donation page: http://www.active.com/donate/2013Seattle100/JeremyJJohnson (http://www.active.com/donate/2013Seattle100/JeremyJJohnson) (be patient, it's kinda slow)
To be clear, I'm not asking anyone to fund a trackday for me...my wife and I plan to donate twice the minimum amount ourselves. I'd just like to raise as much money as possible for the camp. :)
Thanks!
$ sent.
Thanks Howie! [thumbsup]
BUMP! (last time I'll do it :))
Just to re-iterate what I said above. I'm not doing this to get a free trackday, as my wife and myself donated twice the minimum, which my page now shows. I'm just trying to get as much as possible for a great charity. A woman and her son, who has some form of MS, come watch the WMRRA moto races regularly. She said that he got to go to the camp a year or two ago, and that it is indeed a great place. [thumbsup]
On a side note...I was the president and events coordinator for the Seattle DOC (desmonorthwest) for 3.5 years, and am still involved pretty heavily in the club. I've received 3 5 donations from the DMF...people whom I've never actually met in person...and none 1 from desmonorthwest. Just goes to show...the DMF rocks!! [bow_down]
I gave a little.
BTW, we have the same first name. ;D
sent a few clams your way.
Good luck in reaching your goal.
Thanks guys...much appreciated! [thumbsup] [thumbsup]
