For any of you who follow Top Gear, you know what I'm talking about

It's a new street legal, track day car out of the UK. I think my dreams of an Ariel Atom might have just take a back seat for the new sexy.

wooooooooooooo
You guys get all the great toys. We don't get track day specials here. >:(
However, there is a kit alternative I just read about in Motor Trend. It is a WRX based mid engine kit car, that is actually street legal: https://www.factoryfive.com/kits/project-818/ (https://www.factoryfive.com/kits/project-818/)
It can be built for @$25k, not a bad option here in the colonies.

Sweet!! [bow_down]
...for a mere 96,000 GBP...no problem, I'll get 2! [laugh]
Yeah... hence the dream notation, vs plan.
That is uber-cool. [drool]
Here's a couple more affordable options for those of us with less than $150,000:

I'm kinda on extreme ends of the spectrum... I wanna build the Superlite Razor around a VW VR6 mill, or a Lola T70 replica with a built-to-the-hilt small block Chevy. Velocity stacks are cool. [thumbsup]

I am a huge Superlite fan. Unfortunately the Razor was pulled from production about a month ago. It may be redesigned or it may be dropped. The Apex is also in a holding pattern.
Given a string of hopelessly unlikely events (starting with D.B. Cooper's briefcase falling from the sky), I'd be all over this like a cheap suit:

Race Car Replicas and Superlite are still around (same owner). Just been busy with a move. I emailed Fran Hall (the proprietor) a month ago and he got back to me pretty quickly. Sadly, as stated above, the Razor is currently not in production. :'(
Quotestarting with D.B. Cooper's briefcase falling from the sky
Now I am imagining the sudden end of like 50 years of continuous freak updrafts, leading to a dessicated skeleton clutching a briefcase full of cash gently parachuting to the ground.
